YOU'VE NEVER SEEN A FULL EPISODE OF THE SIMPSONS?

Even I, who has never seen full episodes of shows considered the best of all time, have done this. I own the first 7 seasons on DVD

I did watch the Simpsons movie.

Of course you did. I managed to get you to watch A Serbian Film by mentioning it a couple times, so there was no doubt in anyone's mind around here about whether or not you had already seen The Simpsons Movie.

I’ve never watched a full episode of Married With Children. Simpsons neither
When the show (Simpsons) was very popular, I made some reference that a coworker had no clue about. Turns out he was one of those parents who only allowed his kids to watch "child appropriate" videos during their youth. I think both he and his kids missed out on a lot.

Did any of your parents restrict you or have you as parents ever restricted your kids watching due to inappropriate content?

From middle school on I remember being able to watch whatever I wanted........except Roseanne. My mom didn't like how the kids were disrespectful to their parents.

But she was a fan of the show, so that made me want to watch it more.

Our kids had their own "den" to watch TV in. And amazingly, they watched kid's videos, Nickelodeon, and Disney Channel. So by not forbidding things or laying down rules, they didn't feel compelled to rebel.

Of course, if it didn't work out like we wanted, we probably wouldn't have known what to do.

All I can say is; thank god the kids were pretty much grown when those erectile dysfunction commercials started airing. "Dad, why are they sitting in side-by-side bathtubs holding hands"?

I was 13 when my dad took me to see Logan's Run. The whole movie had Farrah Fawcett and Jenny Agutter wearing almost nothing.

But in one particular scene, they escape the city, and to go unnoticed, Jenny changes into another outfit. She does this by dropping her toga in one move, right out in the countryside, and she is fully naked. From that point, until we got home, my dad and I never made eye contact.

Dude at least that was a real movie.

I wasn't allowed to watch Roseanne cause the kids were sometimes dicks to their parents but at the same time my mom paid for HBO every month and let me have it in my room.

Shannon Tweed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That lady was the queen of soft core late night HBO movies. Before the internet, Shannon Tweed movies and stealing Playboys/Penthouses from my friend's dads was how I figured out a lot of things.

Jenny Agutter did nude scenes in Equus and An American Werewolf In London. They're on YouTube. Not that I've seen them, you understand. No, I, uh, read about them in a People magazine article. Yeah, that's it.

Wow, Married With Children was my favorite shows back then. I stop watching The Simpsons after so many seasons. Felt like the show was somewhat not going anywhere. I thought of catching up one day. I'm probably nearly a decade behind on the show.

I did saw the old episode are on Hulu. There are talks of an animated reboot coming on to the air.

I don't remember how I ended up with it, but I had Steve Martin A Wild And Crazy Guy on vinyl when I was about 8 or 9. She took it away from me.
I had a couple of childhood friends with very progressive parents. One of my friends had George Carlin's Class Clown when he was like 10.

I was a big Eddie Murphy and Sam Kinison fan growing up, my folks weren't pleased.

I had that album at about the same age.
My dad heard me listening to it and only said that I shouldn't use that language.

You guys got the bigger names.

I wish I saw Raw as a kid. Or anything Carlin.

I have an embarrassing lack of Steve Martin knowledge. Both standup and acting.

Chris Rock: Bring the Pain in 1996 shaped me. Bigger and Blacker in 1999 just confirmed who I already was.
