Tomorrow Chris will be interviewing lots of Giants players and upper brass, and while I know that isn't going to be interesting to most of you out there, the reason I bring this to your attention is that Chris gets totally geeked out when discussing his favorite team.

It might be worth the while to hear him go baseball geek while talking to Sabean about the upcoming season(which I think is going to be good).

I haven't tuned in to Mad Dog in quite a while. Just been too busy during the day lately. But I'll try to catch him tomorrow. I'm sure Chris is just giddy in general with the baseball season right around the corner.

Giants won today, Astros won today. We're off to a good start Packie.

Oh my god...you should have heard him the other day...Chris and two or three other studio guys were trying pound out baseball math metrics to find out who had the best season pre-steroids. It was funny as hell...unintentionally.

Anyone been listening to the channel over the past day or so? It's been pretty interesting, to say the least.

Yesterday, Mad Dog began his show by going on a rant about his staff and how inept they are at radio, going so far as to call them all "horse shit" and that he wants to fire everyone. It was the dominant point of conversation yesterday on Russo's show, and it hasn't stopped. Gresh went off on it last night and Bruce Murray is discussing it now.

I'm not sure how much of it is real, and how much of it is just for the listeners' benefit, but it has been some very good radio. Makes me forget Howard is on vacation.

Edit: I didn't realize this until now, but Russo actually fired his program director Steve Torre at the end of his show yesterday. I don't know, a lot of this seems to be put on...schtick. I could be wrong. At any rate, today's Mad Dog Unleashed should be good.

None of it was real. He wasn't going to fire anyone, let alone his best friend(Steve). Sirius doesn't have to cash to be buying out all these contracts.

It was nothing but a ploy.....all fake and people fell for the oldest trick in radio.

I've just started listening to Gary Williams....I've enjoyed the few times I've heard. Never have listen to Andy Gresh. I hope he doesn't mess it up for me.

I liked Larry Krueger vs anyone else at that time of night. Why would they not be a 24 hour channel now? I get the ratings are bad or whatever, but what are they saving by not having him? Plus with the schedules changing how can they get anyone listening? I just am a little upset over this.

SIRIUS channel 123 and XM channel 144

I have really been enjoying Mad Dog Radio the past week or so. I have heard most of each show. I am impressed with the guests they get.

The Reggie Jackson October Nights (Tuesdays 7-9pm est. through Nov 10) program has been great.

When did they make the changes?

But I must say that while I'm not digging Mad Dog himself still, or the nighttime show now, the morning shows are great. If you're looking for general sports talk radio, Gary & Gresh & The B-Team give some good opinions and some good personality:bigthumbup:

Basketball & Beyond with Coach KMike Krzyzewski

Does anyone listen to

Basketball & Beyond with Coach KMike Krzyzewski, the legendary head coach of the Duke University, and co-host Dave Sims cover the state of college basketball. Hear interviews with business leaders, entertainers, as well as athletes, plus get a personal perspective on Krzyzewski's principles for life on and off the court.

A very enjoyable show as he does not just talk about college basketball.

In the car I am becoming more of a Mad Dog / MLB Home Plate guy. If I feel like the music, I'll browse through or I'll hook up the iPod, but for right now I am digging the Home Plate and Mad Dog.

Last time I heard he was on Vacation... But I haven't listened in a couple weeks since it's been Christmas break for me. If anybody would have a falling out with the Doggy, it would be Gary. They've gotten into some heated arguments on the radio.

Oh, just to make sure, you do know that he's on in the mornings now, right? He moved there a few months ago to join Gary.

Now I'm confused... He's totally gone from the morning show, and the Mad Dog Radio site. Thus, I suspect that while I was on Christmas break, Gresh and Mad Dog had a falling out, and Gresh left the channel completely. Which would be said since he and Gary seemed to have good chemistry.

But that's total speculation on my part. All I know is that's he's gone from the channel.

I don't know anything about any falling out. Gresh took a job with WBZ in Boston. Let's face it, with satellite radio being a failing business model, why wouldn't he? Doesn't mean they had a falling out.
