I just found something very interesting........from sirius.com/hardattack

Listener Domination
Wednesdays 7 pm ET
Fridays 4 pm ET
Three metal songs, three chances for you to let the world know why your choices should dominate Liquid Metal! Call 1-877-33-SIRIUS and tell us why you should be this week's guest DJ! If you're the chosen one, you'll pick three metal songs and get three times to talk up your choices and show off to all your family and friends! Liquid Metal is your metal station ... let your voice be heard!

Looks like we get some sort of hybrid, because we have the Liquid Metal name but Sirius programs.

Let's hope that's not the case. I'm not changing my license plate to LIQDMTL! Seriously, the Hard Attack name sure seems to be well known in the metal community. I always get comments on my Hard Attack shirts and even from my license plate. I do not see how they can even fathom changing the name.

Looks like that's going to be the case. I don't think Sirius XM really gives a damn about the "metal community." And they probably shouldn't. As long as we have a metal channel I don't care if they call it "Fat Dudes in Tutus." We're kind of an underground bunch.

True enough...they could have killed us off all together I suppose.

Zeena was just on Hard Attack in between songs saying something about sending her song requests blah blah blah... But, the interesting thing was that the display on my Starmate said "Zeena - Liquid Metal". I also just did a playlist search on dogstarradio.com for Hard Attack and there were many station promos between songs that had weird text in the display. Such as:

ConnectWithMetal - HRDATAK
You Opened It - HRDATAK
AintCominHere - HRDATAK
Jose - WE Are Metal
Classic Metal Lives - HRDATAK
CrushEverything - HRDATAK
Jose - Welcome To Our World
StateOf - SHOCK
Jose - Hard Attack LIVES On...

Kinda weird about the letters HRDATAK being in there. I talked to Jose last year about all of the fans he has met with that on their license plates. I've been emailing Jose trying to get any info out of him. Maybe he was trying to give us long time Hard Attack fans a silent shout-out before Hard Attack becomes Liquid Metal. I'm sure it must hurt Jose to see the Hard Attack name go away, if that's really happening.

For those not familar w/ Liquid Metal. It has a insanely loyal fanbase. This channel was once REMOVED from XM programming and thrown to `online only" status. After a lot of backlash from fans of the channel it was eventually put back on the satellite service.

Whatever the case, as I see here, metal has a loyal fanbase and I hope the two merge well. The fans of both channels seem very loyal.

Yeah, I hope the two merge well. Better fuckin keep Beyond The Pit and Bloody Roots!

Maybe I'm getting all worked up over this because it's bringing back bad memories/feelings when KNAC went off the air in 1995. I just keep telling myself that the metal will live on no matter what the station name is. Fuck!

Ya, it's now the less filling version of Hard Attack. Four DJ's gone, Kal, Scotty, Troy and Kara. Three shows gone, Hard Files, Listener Domination and Devil's Dozen.

Fuck Liquid Metal. Bring back the real Hard Attack.

ps: Good luck Scotty and Kal. We miss you.

So when exactly do we get a deeper playlist? Because this sounds just like the Hard Attack we've gotten used to. I was actually looking forward to them mixing it up.

Maybe Sirius just renamed the channel but kept the same playlist rotation? Sorta the exact opposite of what they did with Octane and Squizz

I thought Listener Domination was staying.

Edit: Nevermind. I just saw the gutted schedule.

Well, I only heard Mario this morning and then Jose in the afternoon. If Scotty and Kal are still around, then great. I was just basing my comment on the change to the Liquid Metal website. If it's just screwed up at the moment, then slap me up side the head for not knowing what the fuck I'm talking about. I think it's cause I haven't been able shit for about a week.

ps: Kal is on this evening. Cool. No Zeena though. Thank Satan for that!!!

I wanted one of those. They'll probably be harder to get now. :jj:

I bought it over at SBS and I can't remember who was selling them. But it was a limited time only thing. There was an old photo over at SBS what they look like, I'll try and find it and show it over here or if I can't find it, I'll take a quick photo off mine look like.

Ya, I bought the same one from SBS. Was it TulaneJeff? The site was shopsirius.com, but it hasn't been around for quite some time. I was also able to get a '07 Ozzfest/Hard Attack shirt from Jose last year at Ozzfest.

That was it, from Jeff and the website is now gone. I almost bought an Octane shirt but they were sold out of it. That cool you got a Ozzfest/Hard Attack t-shirts. I couldn't find an old photo over at SBS, so I took a quick photo of mine and it still fits on me after couple of years later.
