Would Howard take a pay cut?

And I can understand why this upsets you so much, considering you parted with yours a while ago.

Die_LaMattres -> :drool:

Gotta agree with you there, to some degree. :yesshake:

On that level, Howard has lost his too. He now gives many marbles to the shrink in hopes of regaining his marbles. Perhaps another ten years will do the trick.

He also lost his marbles another way, which is why the show has turned from cutting edge radio to satellite's version of lite FM coffee talk, taking a monopolized business and spiraling it downward to the tune of ending up in debt for several billion dollars.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm not saying he has to or should, but he could renegotiate his contract. Pro athletes do it all the time. Tom Brady did it and took less money so they could get Randy Moss and help their team. If Howard wanted to he could renegotiate that contract and add more to the actual buget of the show or help some employees get a raise. Like I said he doesn't have to and I wouldn't blame him for not doing it,but it would be a nice thing to do. Our CEO of our company took a pay cut to help keep some emplyees from being let go. I know Sirius pays all the other guys, but its still The Howard Stern Show and a better buget would make it better. Thats all I'm saying.

Maybe he will. Maybe he won't. Either way, he won't reveal his true intentions until December 2010.

Only you could take a flat-out, no-subtlety-involved, sledge-hammer-to-the-face insult to your very lapsed sanity, including me depicting you as a drool cup needing smiley; and still make it about your sick obsession. Congrats, you are the Hinkley of all Hinkleys, the Mark David Chapman of all Mark David Chapmans and the Lee Harvey Oswald of all Oswalds. You are truly a fruity nutcake and I ain't talkin Rappin' Granny.

Howard, seek security, please . . or you ain't making it to 2010.

Yep, I love these people who claim to know what Howard does or doesn't do with contracts. As if he ever let a contract be public knowledge.

Note: No offense to the OP. The question is legit, but those claiming to definitively know the answer are hilarious.

You make some good points, but the only way Howard will negotiate is up, not down, and after satellite dies, he won't get the huge money he's raping Sirius for now. He's simply not worth it. The Brady/Moss analogy will never happen with Howard. Think about it. He has 100 million dollars a year to program his channels. How much more does he need ? (to program the channels, that is) Aside from Bubba (who is leaving over money) and Ferrall, who else do they pay big money to? All of the show's prize money comes from some shit sponsor, and they don't travel or host parties anymore. Hell, most of his own staff and office is poor. Where does the rest of the 100 mil go?

If you're talking about his show, I believe you're right.

Say, you seem like a successful, stable type of guy. How about floating Uncle Mel a loan so he can keep the dream alive?

Boy, you just love to snip out the really good parts, don't you? Your denial is amazing.

Anyway . . . unlike you, I actually hang out with normal people, rather than talk to celebrities in my head, so I'd rather help someone closer to me than some far off CEO. So why don't you seek the help you need, then send me a bill. Given your "success" and "stability", I'll probably be paying one way or another, so let's cut out the middle man, eh?

By the way DLM, I'm more than willing to increase the insulting of each other's personal lives, but please remember the last time you got a little too personal with me. Let's back off on that shit before you put your big fat foot in your equally fat mouth again, huh? Your sense of tact is quite lacking, and I'm doing you a big fucking favor by offering to stop. So take the favor, dickwad.

Let's see, in this post alone you accuse me of being delusional, needing mental help, and unable to work/on welfare, therefore needing the "normals" such as yourself to support me. And you're claiming I'm attacking you personally? LOL

I sense your concern, and assure you that none of he above is true. I'm happy, healthy, and oh so thankful that I have an Internet friend like you to look out for my well being. Hahahahaha......

Read it again, you psycho chicken. Then look up "Quid pro quo."

Ok Die and Jgatie....... Think we can have a Thanksgiving truce? Just a couple days??? I think you two should get together for Thanksgiving. I can see it now...... Die passing the rolls to Jgatie and Jgatie passing the stuffing back. After dinner they can get up and pass around a football have a few beers and watch the Lions get killed. Can anyone else see it? Both holding hands while saying grace?? :hah:

Actually, I'd rather keep the appointment I have for my annual bloodletting and skin flaying. Should be more enjoyable.

That would be lovely.

Howard's deal made money after 1M subs. He's responsible for about 4M without question which means he brought his own revenue with him.

How many subs has ALL OF THE SPORTS COMBINED brought in? Nothing? 1M?

For the money, sports and syndication stations like CNN, FOX, etc do NOTHING to help spread the word. Do NOTHING to even make mention that you can find these stations on Sirius.

But funny, when I pulled up Amazon.com today guess who's book is a "most wanted"? That's right NOT ONLY ARTIE but "Marsha Brady's" book...that was played on a RERUN OF STERN TODAY.

Already made the book more popular in a few hours of a rerun.

Stern is worth the money cause he makes the money. Nothing else has come close.

XM had 7 million subs without Howard

A) Howard got enough subs for Sirius BEFORE the merger to pay for his deal.

B) XM went from the dominating satellite radio company in mid-2004 to being the aquired company (as opposed to the aquiring company) in 2008.

I think Sirius got a good deal.
