Madness #29 was animated TV series. Has there ever been a Madness for animated characters? It could include movies and TV series and we could have two categories and maybe even two separate Madnesses: one for people (Fred Flintstone, Hank Hill, Beavis, Butt-Head, Bart Simpson, Bob Belcher, Elmer Fudd, Eric Cartman, Popeye, Betty Boop, Tommy Pickles et al) and one for animals (Bugs Bunny, Woody Woodpecker, Scrooge McDuck, Stimpy, Top Cat, Felix the Cat, Bullwinkle, Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, King Leonardo, Deputy Dawg et al). A fine idea!

We have back in Madness #11 which was Cartoon Characters. There were 4 different brackets for Disney, Cartoon Leftovers, Fox and Hanna Barbara/Looney Tunes. That was a very fun madness. I would love to do something like that again, the same characters might win again.

I had an old PDF of all the old madness voting results. I lost some of the old madness spreadsheets years ago. I been working updating them again.

Perhaps we could do a Madness for animated series from 2000 to the present: Rick & Morty, BoJack Horseman, Bob's Burgers, Teacher's Pet, Gravity Falls, Clifford The Big Red Dog, Sophia The First, Disenchantment, Bluey, Poochini, Braceface, Kim Possible, Dora The Explorer, The Amazing World Of Gumball et al....,.,although I imagine few of us would be familiar with very many of them. Never mind.

We could try something similar with both combinations. Battle of Network Animated Series?

Since Disney now owns Fox that category could merge. I could think of having categories from Disney/Fox, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and whatever network that had animated series?

There are 2 acceptable flavors of ice cream: chocolate and vanilla. And vanilla is for women.

I saw this thread got bumped and apparently this is my post from 2017 in the first page and I need to give myself an atta boy. I'm sure this made me giggle in 2017 and it just made me giggle now so good job 34-year-old Jan!

Do you Americans have the same rules about what can be called ice cream, ice milk vs the non-compliment frozen dairy desert?

Also, I'm just replying to Idrather from 8 years ago because this one caught my attention. So here we go. I should make that my new thing I just reply to posts that are more than half a decade old....

I don't know, that sounds right but I'm hearing all this shit about how like fruit loops in America have a bunch of different dyes than in Canada or whatever. So who the fuck knows.

Also, I like my fruit loops colorful....You have to eat, dull, desaturated fruit loops? Hopefully Pierre fixes that.

With Marching coming up, anyone have any themes suggestions? I do like Channel98 theme idea of having another cartoon character madness.

Here are the upcoming scheduling themes.

March - Madness #34
June - Madness #35
September/October - Madness #36: Fictional Horror Movie Characters
December/January - Madness #37: 2025 CDT

Have we done famous buildings before? Like landmarks?

I thought we did, but it was Tourist Destinations.

I like that theme, but unfortunately we don't recognize architects. :p

I'll post a voting theme option in the next Madness. So far here are the suggestions, unless more is added.

Battle of Network Animated Series
Ice Cream vs. Frozen Desserts, Part 2
Landmarks
Superheroes vs. Villains

I suggest changing "frozen deserts" to "frozen desserts." Another suggestion: best dance scenes in movies – Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Marx Brothers, Fame, Grease, Dirty Dancing, Footloose, Saturday Night Fever, et al., and this one from Bob Hope and James Cagney:

That's a very good call and thank you for correcting me. Wolf, I can't believe I was so stupid.

Some sort of architect was probably involved with the building of the famous buildings I was suggesting. And yeah we do not want to soil the pristine reputation of the madness threads by allowing that dirty profession to enter its hallowed halls.

"Disrespectful." "No substance." "Humorless sludge." "Horribly senseless." "Every negative stereotype." "Story unfolds with the zest of a soggy blueprint." "One of the worst movies of the year." I'm guessing none of those reviews of The Architect were written by HecticArt.

This year's nominees for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame have been announced. Dozens of artists have been eligible for many years but are still not in. Among them are Phil Collins, Cyndi Lauper, Chubby Checker, Connie Francis, Jim Croce, Kansas, Boston, Grand Funk, INXS, Toto, Steppenwolf, Jethro Tull, Bad Company, Monkees, Guess Who, Jan & Dean, Three Dog Night and Huey Lewis & the News.

How about a DRC Madness where we can vote for our favorite singers and groups who are still not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? A fine idea!
