There's a show on Vice called "Dark Side Of The 2000s."

There's a two-part episode that debuted earlier this month which is all about the shock jock wars. Without giving too much away, some familiar faces are on it. There's some re-enactments and some actual video.

If you have two hours, it's worth checking out.

There's a pop artist named Jung Kook.

My mind immediately went to the Chinese lady at the clock shop.

There are a few things I don't enjoy listening to and I find myself getting aggravated far too often. I can't sit and type any more 2 hour long celebrity interviews. I don't want to type the phrase ''Howard answered a knock at the door'' ever again. I want to have the freedom to turn the radio off when I hear an awful Jon Blitt bit.

I'm with Mark.

If the celebrity is someone a listener is a fan of? It's heaven.

If not? It's gotta be torture.

OTOH, Howard has made the late night interviews seem strange. "Here's a funny story or two...here's a commercial break...back with the celebrity to hype the current project ...and a break to bring on the next celebrity."

That whole thing takes 20-25 minutes.

And every goddamn time it's a knock on the door. Have it be a Zoom bomb. Bring on a phone call like what he used to do for Craig Gass' Sam Kinison.
----edit----
I'm surprised Mark doesn't do macros for some of that stuff haha...

But he'll soon find the world where we start the show later and then can FF through the commercials and drivel.

Who the hell is this Pat McAfee? Is he trying to be Howard Stern with the impersonators or Scott Ferrall with the fast-paced sports talk?

Yay! Mark gave an update that the site will remain up for some time.

... and that's awesome. I can't imagine the hosting costs are much more than the equivalent a few bucks a week.

It's still the sad end of an err-uhh.

Someone I know recently had a C-section. She says sneezing and coughing are still painful.

The demon in me wants to put her in the tickle chair.

Welcome to the time of year when you're driving around and realize you're miserably hot because it was 45F the last time you drove.

So you stop the car, pop the hood...

Or you act like a normal American and change the dial!

Another of Beth's cats found a furever home!

(But it's one of the people that has the tenuous and/or obscure connection to the show. Hint: An in-studio appearance was made.)

I'm not gonna say I had a chance to meet Simpsons character Ringo Starr last night, because you never know...but the fences around his tour bus area were removed and the buses were still there.

But a photo would have definitely been priceless.

Of course no fan mail or things to be signed. Peace and love peace and love!

I guess my photos with Bubba (somewhere on the internet, I'm sure) and Stern Show announced George Takei will have to suffice. I met Scott Ferrall, but I don't think I had a photo with him.

That reminded me of the AC/DC Central Park scene in Private Parts. According to someone's random Howard Stern fansite, there were signs plasted all over the area. "Do you want to be in Howard Stern's movie? Show up at 9am Saturday! Don't be late!"

Well, a ton of people showed up. Howard got up on stage, said some words and then the guy realized he was saying movie lines. AC/DC did the song, apparently one of the "movie cops" pushed a bit too hard...of course, Howard had real security there...the rest was history.
