If a church has a fire capacity of 50 people, the fire marshal can demand that they either kick someone out, or they can get shut down.
Same premise. You're free to keep doing your religious thing, but you have to plan accordingly so that you aren't risking peoples safety.
Churches build bigger buildings all the time to accommodate larger congregations. When the building is too small to fit everyone safely, they hold multiple services.

I understand that being outside lessens the risk somewhat but it still remains a public health hazard. Just look at what Disney and Universal are doing. Many of the lines for rides are outside yet they still enforce a stringent social distancing policy.

We had a lady here in P-town say she got pushed up against a building wall by one of these storm trooper dudes and grabbed all about her body. She felt violated and that if she had been knocked down or further fondled she had no name to give to her attorney/judge because they're unmarked.

Second, yes protesters can gather in public sites but if they plan to block off streets and traffic they are required to have a permit. I have not looked into it but I doubt those people who blocked the highway in CO had the proper permits.

I certainly have biases, but I'm not using them as a subtext for this discussion. For example, just as the protesters have the right to assemble, so did the Trump campaign have the right to (attempt to) stuff 20,000 unmasked people into a 20,000 seat arena for a rally. I didn't like that idea, but it's protected by the 1st amendment (just like the protesters are), and also, expressing my feelings about it would go against DRC's no-politics rule. So while I do have a bias, I didn't use it in an indirect manner to argue against its lawfulness.
