The band Great White apologized for performing in Dickinson, North Dakota, last week as few in the audience were wearing masks and there was no social distancing.

I don't think this is on the band. It is the organizer or the state/local authority which mandated the conditions which the concert was to be held. They dropped the ball. The band just showed up to a gig and played.
 
They can't pretend that they aren't aware of the world situation. It's bullshit that the band, their management, the promoter, and the venue allowed the show to happen. There's a moral and ethical vacuum that people need to stop accepting if they want this bullshit to end.

They likely would have been on the hook for $$$$$ if they the band did not perform.
 
The odds that people don't die from being there is kind of slim.
There are clauses in contracts that would likely protect the band from too much liability. None of them are looking at the bigger picture and taking any responsibility for the consequences of their greed. It's like hiring the KKK to run security for a Black Panthers convention and thinking that everything is going to be just fine.
