I agree. He believes that 7 World Trade Center was intentionally blown up because it seemed to implode. I knew people who worked there and I following it during the day. It was bombarded with hot debris from 1 WTC that started numerous fires. The fire extinguishing system did not function property. The Fire Department has an hour by hour chronicle of its demise. There was no blast. I think the center gave out and the building collapsed.

This is the point I was dying for someone to make when Brent was saying, "Why did it collapse? A plane didn't fly into it?"

A plane may not have flown into it, but two skyscrapers containing two planes filled with burning fuel did FALL INTO IT. I'm no structural engineer, but common sense tells me that this is not a contingency architects and engineers plan for.

Yeah, I love how people who have basically no education are spewing scientific theories. Number 1 is the "steel doesn't melt at X degrees", never considering that it weakens at a fraction of the temp, and a weakened steel structure will fail if it's got 8 million tons on it. And yes, when two massive, 1,300 ft tall concrete buildings come crashing to the ground, there may be a wee bit of collateral damage.

The engineers accounted for a plane flying into the buildings, but they didn't account for all of that jet fuel. Steel DOES weaken at a pretty low temperature. Heavy wood timbers actually do better than steel in a fire.

They were designed to withstand the physical impact of a Boeing 707, a smaller plane than the Boeing 767s that hit the buildings. And yes you are correct, the effect of the jet fuel burning so long was the catalyst for the structures collapsing where the plane hit. Those floors collapsing into the floors below cause them to collapse in a cascading fashion all the way down.

It was a devastating attack no one conceived, even the building designers. Why is this such a contentious issue for some?

I don't know. It's not contentious to me. I think it must be denial for some people.

The physics of it all make sense to me. I did take a lot of structural engineering classes, and it went down by the laws of physics.

Some people are looking to buy into conspiracy theories. I don't think the average Doritos-eating dimwit couch potato was watching the footage, saying "steel shouldn't give-in like that". But after the event, the nuts took over, and planted the conspiracy ideas. There's a segment of society that's predisposed to agree with people who pose conspiracies (cough, cough, Blyons, cough).

Hey now just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you! I do consider many alternative theories about many things, but mostly I believe in money grab conspiracies and power plays. While I do believe the Twin Towers did, in fact, come down solely from the damage from the planes, doesn't mean it's not plausible that the CIA or some other US agency (persons within) didn't have anything to do with it. Probably not, but I keep my mind open.

You can't be a little bit involved; either there was no involvement by the CIA, or else they're complicit. And thinking that any US agency knew of the plot is the definition of insanity (in my opinion).

Go into some Moe's Southwest Grill locations and see this painting of a look-alike. It *almost* could pass as Howard from the 90s.

(Either that or Howard got the sunglasses because John had them. Seriously...focus on the face and glasses. It's there.)

So what does everybody think of Jason eating Jeff The Drunk's dead arm?

i agree with the email that it will be the best stunt in show history if it goes down. super gross but worth it for how awesome it will be. it was surprising to me to learn thats its actually legal. i would have bet anything that eating human flesh in any manner would have been illegal but i guess not. now we just need that doctor to sign off on letting jeff keep the arm.

as for jasons meat habits its weird how into it he is but i do agree with him about tying new stuff. if cat or dog was on a menu at a nice place id give it a shot. why not? how different is eating a cat from eating a pig? and i love my pet cat just to be clear. i often wonder why we as americans are so opposed to eating horse. i guess its cause of how we romanticize the old west and how much horses were a part of us trailblazing it.

recently i have tried to stop eating pig products just cause i feel bad for them being such smart animals. ive cut it down to nothing more than pepperoni on pizza. but even so i would still be down to try something new once or twice.

I've had some interesting seafood, but to reply to your question, I'd say we kill what we need to. Horses are beautiful companions, unless we run out of cows, we don't need horses or cats or dogs.
