was anyone else shocked that howard and robin were willing to try that jim bakker food? we all know about robins various crazy diets and howard seems to not eat anything that costs less than $100 per plate. i was sure that he would just have the staff try it for him. i was also surprised that he kinda liked the fettuccine.

overall i just enjoyed that segment. learning that jd is in his late 30s and can barely boil water was just nuts. and ronnie reading the directions wrong and then getting all pissed about it made me chuckle.
Whenever Howard goes off on one of those charlatans, like Pat Robertson, I love it. He gets to the meat of what makes these people such pieces of shit. And JD is great, he was even more mush-mouthed than usual.

it is odd. and as much as everyone teases him he does have a pretty big showbiz job. his actual work is used on air every day and on top of that he is a personality on almost every show. its just confounding how very simple things in life just passed him by. i dont care how much of a loser you are, everyone knows how to make a kraft mac and cheese or change sheets at least once a month.

the 3 of us are all in the same age group. im 4 years younger than jd.

Single guys: Keep those sheets clean. Common sense dictates that IF you are about to get lucky, you don't want to fumble the ball crossing the goal line. Nothing in the pad should be off-putting. Per Wayne's World, the goal is to have, and I quote, "a fully-functional babe lair [where] chicks are helpless to its powers."

I just realized that I may have to explain what "Wayne's World" is. :(

I'm about a year older than JD, but was never socially awkward like he was. But I've been married over 10 years now and have 2 kids. but when I was like 23 and living on my own, I knew how to do a lot of basic stuff that he can't. especially cook. I pretty much taught myself for the most part.

out of you, bark and me i am probably the least mature. but i am way ahead of JD in terms of getting by in everyday life. if i see a roach i bomb my place or call someone, jd just lives with mice. i know to do my laundry on a regular basis. simple cooking is second nature and anything more complicated isnt too hard with step by step directions and videos on the internet. and thats just the stuff we know about with JD. i wonder how many other basic things there are that he has no idea how to do.

yeah, at my old house, we had an issue with mice. basically there was an old house next door that the city finally tore down. once that happened, mice started coming in through the basement. I was catching them with mouse traps initially, but that proved futile. we ended up adopting a cat from the shelter, and he solved that problem within a couple weeks. one thing, I CANNOT put up with is bugs or rodents in my house. I could never live like that.

Doesn't Buckingham Palace keep like a thousand cats on the premises for rodent control?

30 minutes right off the bat this morning on pranking Bobo (Shuli fed a stupid question to Bobo for him to ask and Bobo lied to Howard about who wrote it for him and eventually broke). So unfunny. Wonder who thought it up and pitched it? What a waste of time. Why does Howard think Bobo, a pure ass kisser, is such a gold mine?

It was followed by a lame Ozzy impersonator, I have yet to be entertained. Hope Andy Samberg is good.

The way you prank Bobo is to embed Shuli with him for a week and then not take his calls that week.

no thanks with ozzy, or pretty much any impersonators on the stern show. its a wonder how the impersonators on the comedy bang bang podcast can be so great almost every time and on stern they are so awful almost every time.

but the bobo bit did make me chuckle. idk, i get a kick out of fucking with bobo. right at the beginning, before bobo came on air, something weird happened. benjy was saying he bet that bobo would not give up shuli and howard was saying he would and there was this quick moment of silence and then benjy changed his mind. it seemed like he was prompted to do so. just odd.

hahaha! that seems like the best bobo idea possible.

That's why I assumed he'd be on this week.

You're not thinking like Howard. He can do a vacation this week and get the 19th to the 30th off OR he can work this week and get an extra day.

It's easier for him to go to Florida if he takes this week off.

And actually, I bet he's off next week as well.

Good point. Around this time the past few years, he's started the AGT stuff, so who really knows. Based off a quick search, his work on AGT started in 2012. Under the first Sirius contract (2006-2010), it was easier to think of it as Howard working so many weeks per year with Fridays off. The last contract went from 2011-2015, but he worked X number of days. All he really did was take off four consecutive Thursdays instead of a Monday-Thursday.

So, in reality, who really knows. You'd have to go back to 2011 when Howard didn't work AGT, but that year, he didn't work Memorial Day week...but that was when they were still alternating live Thursdays with This Day In Howard History...and having Lisa G preview the Howard 100 News live on the show.

Soooo...in other words, I don't believe we have a precedent for this.
