This feels a bit sacreligious since it's not 100% candle related but I bought one of those Febreze things that you plug into the wall and you stick oil cartridges into and it heats them and makes the room smell nice. Got it today while grocery shopping. They are expensive. It was like $10 for the thing w/1 cartridge and I got 2 refills for $6. I was dumb, should have waited and bought them at Walmart instead of Publix and probably could have saved a couple dollars.
Anyway I put it in my bathroom and it seems to be doing the job. At least this way I won't have to worry about leaving a flame unattended in the bathroom. It smells nice. So now I have my little candle going in my bedroom and the Febreze chugging away in the bathroom. The box claims it lasts 50 days on low. I have it set on medium so I'll refer back to this post when it runs out...let's see when that happens.

I replaced the Febreze cartridge this morning so on high they last 19 days.
Much more importantly though, I bought a 20oz papaya passion candle today. This candle has a chip in the glass at the top. Me being an insane person, felt bad for the candle and thought no one else would buy it because of the chip and the poor candle would sit on the shelf indefinitely so I snapped it up. It now has a happy home.

I'm very proud of myself these days. I've had 1 big boy 20oz candle going for about 2 weeks now. I'm not letting it go non stop anymore and only use it for about 3-5 hours per day.
It's a delightful pineapple lily scent. I have another big boy apple pumpkin scent waiting in the wings when this one runs its course.

As you might have expected, I'm looking at everything except the candle. Starting at left, there's a plant in the window sill, then some figurine to the right. I assume the 3 cases are your watch boxes. I have no idea what the 3 grenade-like things are.
On the wall is a lighthearted Jetsons print, and below it is either an indoor/outdoor temp, or thermostat. Finally, the tiny rug under the lamp looks like it came from the Eisenhower administration.

The plant is an orchid. The figurine is a fun story. At my dad's old place one of the residents was a countess. She was freaking loaded and gave money all over town. She has her name on all sorts of buildings in Palm Beach County. She was also a hoarder. She had 3 condos all together with the walls knocked down to make one huge condo. And they were filled with old newspapers and stuff. At some point she gave my dad that little solar figurine. She's dead now and I get a kick out of how this woman was a huge millionaire philanthropist and I remember her by a crappy like $0.25 plastic tchotchke.
The 3 cases are watch boxes, good call. The grenade things are the Star Wars Coke, Diet Coke and Sprite. They sell them in Star Wars Land at Hollywood Studios. They are made to look like thermal detonators and I think they're cool.
HOW DARE YOU CALL THAT JETSONS! That's Mickey and Pluto riding Space Mountain. It's one of the prints I got earlier in the year during the Epcot art fest. The other thing is a thermometer. It's one of those where you string one sensor out the window so it gives inside and outside temps. Note how it's 9.18.21 and 91.8 outside...I just got back from a 10.43 mile bike ride, it's hot! The other thing is my bike pump and the thing under the lamp are these throw things that are basically tiny oriental rugs. I have a bunch of them and like them.
Also in the pic are my wired earbuds I wear at bedtime cause the Bluetooth ones don't last through the night and the lighter for the candle.

I am afraid Mister JHDK is just one step away from telling us the Great Pumpkin will fly around on Hallowe'en night and bring gifts to kids whose pumpkin patches are the most sincere.
Buy a wax warmer. That why when candle wax get too low, or the wicks get too short, you can use the warmer to heat the rest of the unused wax.

My wife wanted some of the glade candles. All they had left was pumpkin spice. She was not happy.
