The Pulse vs. Pop2k

Disclaimer: I wouldn't listen much to either channel, but I'm still wondering...

At some point, now that the first decade of the 2000's is already over - :icon_eek: - would it make more sense to have pop2k be available on the Sirius side than The Pulse?
And I guess I'm wondering if the channels are really that different?

pop2k = The millennium's first decade of pop hits.
The Pulse = The 2000s and today!

Anyone?
 
If I could get my XMP3 working thru my radio, I'd listen to Pop2K more :)

I thought The Pulse was '90s and Now? :scratch:
 
The Pulse is supposed to be 1990 + today (I think a last 20 years channel though -- I suspect they will start dropping their 90s stuff as we get deeper into the 2010s). pop2k I think will evolve into a decade channel for the 2000s. It would make sense to add it to the Sirius lineup if enough listeners give a rats ass about the music in this decade. I think the jury is still out in that regard.
 
The Pulse is more like adult alternative I guess you could say... Pop2k is like a decades channel-- they'll play pretty much any song that charted after 2000: pop, rock, hip hop, r&b, country... The Pulse has a smaller playlist also. They really aren't the same thing. It's kinda hard to explain.
 
I suspect that in the near future, E Street Radio will be dropped for Pop2K, or at least move to a new channel. Channel 10 would be a great channel for it.

I think this is a perfect description and mirrors my thoughts exactly. Including the Pulse's smaller playlist.

As long as Bruce (or his people) are willing to pay for airtime on Sirius XM, E Street will continue to exist.

I do agree though that channel 10 would be a great place for Pop2K.
