My daughter, who (mostly) finished her biology degree last December, and who couldn't get a job interview since, got 2 jobs in the course of 1 week. The first was a temp job, doing testing for a medical equipment company. But a few days after she started, she got an offer for a permanent position at the research lab company she really wanted. Week after next, she'll make the transition.

I have a weird imagination. When I see you say:

We need more women in the stem fields

I picture a field of crack pipes (aka stems) growing out of the ground in a female run farm where they harvest them using foam scythes.

While we're all pointing-out grammar errors, I need to say it should be "Dick".
That's the mean version of the word. (The four letter epithet, if you will.)
The three letter version is the "you got me, I don't have a witty reply, but I can't say nothing, it's all in good fun" adaption of the word. The loss of a consonant expunges the denigrating connotation implicitly.

And shouldn't dick be spelled with a lowercase d????
