The people who ask this question all live in the south. Up here in the north, if we stayed on DST year-round, then in December and January, sunrise would be at 8:15 am. That just doesn't work.I prefer Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time. I don't like the twice-a-year time changes.

Why are we still changing our clocks for daylight saving time?
Daylight saving time has Americans in every state except for Hawaii and Arizona moving their clocks an hour forward on Sunday, March 9 at 2 a.m. Here's why it's still practiced in most of the country and an update on the battle to end it.www.nbcsandiego.com
It's not that hard to shift an hour. The whole country is broken into different time zones, and we travel from one to another all the time. Just man-up and do it. For godsakes, cell phones change the time for you.
