Well I just want to be clear. Not all G2's have quirks. I have had mine for about a month and a half. I have not had a single issue.

Not one single issue with my G2 here. Slacker seems to care about their customers more than Sirius. I swear I've had more firmware updates in one month with my G2 than my years with my Stiletto.

This would be my experience exactly, not one single problem since I purchased it. I have a Linksys Wireless Router and a Wireless Access Point depending on where in my house I am, it connects perfectly to each one of those and downloads my refreshes. I have just for the heck of it connected via USB, but I much prefer Wifi myself.

I do think many times these issues are related to router configurations and much like the Sirius SL100 and SL2 any little thing out of the ordinary will cause them not to connect or to connect and then not be able to get internet access once they do.

By the way I talked with both my G1 gift persons just last night at a New Years Party and they have reported no problems and both are having great experiences with their G1 so those are not problematic for everyone either as some of the Slacker Forum threads would indicate.

Good to hear. I was a little worried after ordering a total of 3 G1's and reading all the "problems" people are having with them.

Do, what I did though before you give them away. Open them and do a refresh and download the latest firmware update. This way they don't have to deal with that and they get a rock solid device from the get go. I just set them up under my 2 account in order to accomplish this. But once they get it, they can setup their own account.
