KFRC, "The Big Six-Ten" in San Francisco, played a version with "radio" replaced with the station's call letters. A trio called the Reverbs recorded Life Is A Rock and released it as a single on April 5 , 2010. A year later, the song was included on an album of 1970s cover songs by various artists. The ending includes the chorus of Three Dog Night's Celebrate.

If Chicago, LA and San Fran did it, sounds like all the major stations across the country put their call letters in that song.
THat may also be the fastest singing in a song ever

Beg Borrow & Steal.
That's a wild story!
sounds like all the major stations across the country put their call letters in that song.
Kinda like "We Built This City" where the station playing it would put in their own banter instead of the generic:

I'm looking out over that Golden Gate bridge
On another gorgeous sunny Saturday
And I'm seeing that bumper to bumper traffic

It's your favorite radio station
In your favorite radio city
The city by the bay, the city that rocks
The city that never sleeps

Tommy Overstreet's 1978 country hit Fadin' In, Fadin' Out begins: "I was foolin' round, toolin' down Interstate 40, listenin' to my favorite country show." Dozens of radio stations were given special copies where Overstreet replaced "my favorite country show" with the station's call letters. In Los Angeles, we heard he was "listenin' to KLAC" or "listenin' to FM 97" (KHTZ).

Here is the Monkees' Goin' Down (with lyrics). Daydream Believer was number one for four weeks in December 1967. This was the B-side. It stalled at #104 on the Bubbling Under chart.

This was my Catch of the Day on Sunday during my bath from the Best of Nancy for Frank: Siruisly Sinatra.
The same song sung by Al Martino in the Godfather prior to Vito cutting off the movie Producer's horse's head but sung by Frank this time

I heard the Hits 1 Hitsbound Discovery Channel for the first time tonight. The Coffeehouse also has a Discovery Channel. I guess these channels look for potential songs that can be chosen for the mother channel. I enjoyed this song. It's a little blend of country and easy listening pop. But the words in the video are a bit distracting

"You got a way of making me find reasons to stay." That made me think of: "I really must go." But baby, it's cold outside." Freya Skye has released 17 singles – and she's only 16! Here is her website:

I really like this Hits 1 Hitbound Discovery Channel. It's not as good as the Wine Bar channel. That one is a treasure.
But it has a softer tone than regular Hits 1. I heard this one during my walk today. Mimi Webb "Eyes Closed"

Percolator, which uses a heavily damped marimba, was inspired by this Maxwell House coffee commercial. The song peaked at #10 on the March 17 1962 Billboard Hot 100. It got to #20 on the Cash Box Top 100, #14 on the KFWB-Los Angeles Fabulous Forty and #21 on the KRLA-Pasadena Tune-dex.
