Sadchild's "high fives" (every artist I like at least five songs from)

I don't think I have that album at all. I am not familiar with your #2 or #5 songs either. "I Need a Lover" is the only JCM song I don't really like. Too long an intro. I like Pat Benetar's remake of that song however.

Definitely good from start to finish for "back to basics" rock and roll (as he called it). 5 of the songs made the top 20 on the rock chart including two #1s, so as you listen you'll probably start to recognize some (unless Canada didn't jam on them like the US).

You are right. I have heard "Get a Leg Up". I also like "Now More Than Ever" a lot. I have liked all I have heard. Only $6.99 @ iTunes. Now in my library.

John Lennon

Genre: singer-songwriter, rock and roll, pre-alternative (I think I just made that word up. He was 'alt' before 'alt music' was a thing).

Discovered: don't remember

Other: Massive respect for his work (#1 below is my #1 song of all ever). But even still, I don't hold him in as high esteem as many others seem to, which at times can be almost godlike. And I really don't listen to his solo work that much, only when it happens to show up around me.

HIGH FIVE:

1. Imagine
2. Watching The Wheels
3. Nobody Told Me
4. Instant Karma
5. Woman

Joshua Kadison

Genre: AC, music for old ladies

Discovered: FM "Jesse"

Other: THIS IS EVERYONE'S CHANCE TO GOOF ON ME AND DISQUALIFY MY OPINION IN MUSIC BOTH PAST AND FUTURE! EVEN MY WIFE THINKS IT'S LAME. SHE'S LIKE, "YOU ACTUALLY LIKE THIS? MY MOM LISTENS TO THIS. I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DO TOO." Yes, I genuinely love his first album. And I'm not (too too much) ashamed to admit it either. His second album sucks.

HIGH FIVE:

1. Jesse
2. Georgia Rain
3. Painted Desert Serenade
4. Beau's All Night Radio Love Line
5. Picture Postcards From LA

That was surprisingly not nauseating. Actually pretty catchy, I think the rule I can learn is that never trust anybody named Jessie. Carly Simon had a similar experience.

But it is ok to covet his girlfriend.

Confession. I have that album. "Jesse" did it for me too.

Like Bob Dylan once said, "I would not feel so all alone." I'm pleasantly surprised others dig that song. I listed it as one of my all time favs.

#81 Joshua Kadison "Jesse"
Quite possibly the only song (and album) my mother-in-law and I both love. Very 'Delilah', but it's a great story song.

Other: These guys dropped their first (and best) album when Matchbox 20 was still big (around the time of "Unwell"). I'm surprised they didn't take off. Personally I like them a lot more.
