Robin Calling Artie a Liar

I loved it when Robin said she wouldn't even believe Artie if he told her that he was there in the studio anymore. She said even if she can see him there it doesn't mean anything.

Artie needs to go to inpatient treatment now! For at least 60 days. If not I'm afraid Artie will be dead by Christmas. Howard should put his foot down and tell Artie has only two choices, treatment or getting fired. He should have and intervention show and have all the staff members come in and give their reasons to Artie on why he needs treatment. Robin, Howard, Gary, Fred, JD, even Richard and everyone else should talk, I hope (and believe) that they truly care about him. If they do they should do this. No jokes, no funny business, Artie truly needs help or he will die soon. Hell, fly in George Takei (sp?) for the occasion. Artie might actually listen to him. Fingers crossed here. I don't pray much, but I will try to pray for him. Artie is too good a person to leave us this soon.:(

an intervention at artie's work leads to a chase through back yards, into grocery stores where he throws fruit at his pursuing coworkers, and culminates in him trying to deck a cop (read the book). point being that you cant force him to get help. he has opportunities every day and passes them up. he won't get real help until something very bad happens to him (or someone close to him) or he dies.

Maybe someone could rat him out and get him arrested. I don't normally believe in that, but in this case maybe something that drastic needs to be done. Artie has been on a downward spiral for years, but it seems it's much worse and getting faster now. I think Artie hates himself and is trying to self-destruct to avoid actual suicide. I know, I've been there. He's too afraid to kill himself, but if it's an accident then it's ok. It's really sad to see someone do this right in front of you and can't do a fucking thing about it.

Yeah, I can totally see a cop from Jersey going over to Artie's house to search his house for drugs. Could you imagine the backlash that the Jersey shore would wage upon the NJPD?

Everyone will coddle Artie into his grave.

That's one of the saddest things ever. Sad but true, co-dependents end up making him worse and he could end up dead despite his friends best intentions.

Too bad that Howard had to protect the baby and attack robin calling her an "Artie expert".

I agree. Sadly, one of Robin's strongest moments since they have been in Sirius and Howard the enabler just dismisses her because Artie does no wrong. Robin nailed it with he lies all the time....no joke about it, she is an Artie expert. It was kind of sad thing that she revealed she knew many people on drugs and thus knew Artie.

Honestly, I think Artie's fate has been cast already. He's going to die as a direct result of his lifestyle. You can't help someone who doesn't want help. Look at Artie's twisted way of not dealing with things: don't want to go to someone's wedding...throw lots of cash at them. Want to leave rehab early...pay off someone. I think it's safe to say that Artie has NEVER honestly dealt with any situation in life. His addictions, his dad's death, his realtionship with Daner. His life is nothing but "avoidance at any cost."
