This one happened to be playing on my stereo while doing this! I was writing song reviews in 2009. I said this in my 'end of the year wrap up':
In my April review of Pink's "Sober," I described it as a good pop song with a heartfelt message. I then stated that I wouldn't be adding it to my collection. Well, I lied. I did add it. It was the soul-searching, confessional lyrics that sold me on it. In "Sober," Pink laments being simply being the neighborhood booty call. Yet, her fear of being unable to abandon the wild life and its instant gratification comes from her own insurmountable insecurities.

Nickelback’s “Gotta Be Somebody” is heavily battered in sap, broiled in overproduction and served on a bed of cheese with plenty of saltpeter on top. If you’re looking for a well-sanitized power ballad for your daughter’s purity ball, this song will fit nicely between Bon Jovi and Lifehouse.

Landslide was written by Stevie Nicks. Fleetwood Mac recorded the song for their 12th album, cleverly titled Fleetwood Mac and released on July 11, 1975. Their first album, released on February 24, 1968, was also titled Fleetwood Mac. A live version of Landslide from Fleetwood Mac's 1997 album The Dance reached #51 on the Hot 100 in August 1998. The Dixie Chicks' 2002 remake got to #2 on the country chart and #7 on the Hot 100.
