i agree but i still think they are more of an entertainment programming network than a news network.

and their anchors feed debate questions to their preferred candidate prior to the debate. it's hard to do that and also claim legitimacy.
 
they have done multiple shows about various decades like "the 80s", "the 90s" and so on that are barely more informative than the same shit vh1 does all the time. they run documentary movies somewhat often. they must have hired the same vfx crew that worked on star wars I-III with all the crazy green screen they use. and just like the other big 2 cable news networks, their host's opinion based programming is not really news. they may discuss current events in politics but the goal is more to entertain people enough to keep them watching rather than inform the public.

cnn.com is much more informative than almost anything on cnn tv.

All cable news networks are for entertainment purposes only.

Donna Brazile was not an anchor. She was a talking head contributing to political opinion segments. CNN fired her when they found out what she'd done.
