Pardon me, but do you have the time?

It arrived last night after being sent in for a movement service, clean/lube.. Two month turn-around. Wearing it right now.

I'm looking at the Panerai PAM 127s... Those look real nice.

Wow, the ultimate indulgence and status symbol---A ROLEX.

I never understood the allure of a $10,000-$20,000 watch but hey, to each their own.

I would certainly put that money into something more functional but I'm guessing that HEXAGRAM and I are NOT in the same tax bracket.

There is no doubt about it, it is a nice watch.

I still do but we'll see for how long, when I was a Nurses Aide I used it to time Respirations and Heart Rate and things like that, but I'm out of that field, so it isn't necessary. DAB is correct in saying that having a smartphone type device replaces a lot of things you normally would use.

I still wear them and I just bought a new one actually.

This is my everyday watch:

This is what I use when I travel:

A simple google search of "WM9 Submariner V2" should give you some interesting results ;) (it's not cheap though, remember... you get what you pay for)

I also have a custom crown and crystal installed in mine.

Replica (and Genuine) watch modding is starting to become a hobby for me in my spare time... What can I say? I'm studying to become a horologist :icon_wink:

After a long time not wearing one, I recently picked up a Timex on clearance at Target because I liked how it looked. Now that I've been wearing it again for the past 8 or 9 months I wonder why I stopped wearing one - guess I forgot how much I liked watches.

These days, though, I'm finding that my tastes are skewing toward the expensive side as I look to add a few to my collection, with this being the current watch I am lusting after - Omega Speedmaster 40th anniv. moon watch:

I can see Uranus from here
I call BS on these store website provided photos of these high dollar watches. Show me a shot of the watch on your wrist like mine. Here is my citizens promaster aqualand 200m with depth censor watch that I wear daily. I bought it to use as a backup to my dive computer. I send it off every 3 years for a new battery and a tune up. It has never failed me, next time i send it off i'll get a new crystal. ten plus years of daily use without a glitch.

I could be a real douche bag and go grab my dads Rolex Oyster Presidential and grab a pic, but i'm not going to go that low. Besides, it's my dads watch.

Yes it's the orange model. Im a fan of Clive Cussler novels and would love to have the Dirk Pitt edition Doxa on my wrist. But i got bills to pay and can't see shelling out 3,000 bucks on a watch when this 200 dollar orange Doxa wannabe suits me just fine.

For my next watch, I'm thinking going old school and getting a pocketwatch.

Of course, I'll also get the matching monocle, cane, tophat and tuxedo jacket with tails.

There ya go!

Though I don't think I could get away with the monocle and top hat. :icon_biggrin:

You might be able to pull off the monocle if you get a cigarette holder!

Too bad I can only afford the knock-off version. A man can dream though!! :D

Sure, genuine watches are nice (and I'll buy any watch that I truly like), but the replicas are more fun (if you buy the right ones).

I have a Breitling Chronomat and a Cartier Roadster that I alternate most of the time.

For working out or just hanging around, I have a Casio G-Shock. It's waterproof and sets itself to the atomic clock every night. I love that thing.

I have a few other watches (Mickey Mouse, Swatch, Citizen) that I occasionally wear, but most of those have dead batteries.

Lime sporting the Brietling! You are my hero! When I bought my Tag, I fell in love with Brietling. One of these days I'll get one.
