The first step in setting up a website is the creation of a domain name. I could make a joke about "domain poisoning" but I don't think anyone would like it. Here is a detailed analysis of the costs and fees:

The domain name is already acquired. Just need to maintain it.

If we figure out the money thing, I think that taking over ownership responsibilities would be equally as important.
It doesn't seem cricket to leave the guy with the hassle of dealing with a site he doesn't visit, even if it doesn't cost him anything.

Before that day comes, I suppose that we should organize and figure out what our options might be.
If we want to keep DRC running we'd need someone interested in taking over ownership, someone that can deal with the server and upgrades, and get people to agree that they are willing to send the new owner some cash from time to time.
(I don't have the time, energy, or expertise to take over ownership, but I can still do the daily admin stuff.)

If we find someone willing to take over, we can contact our current benefactor to find out how much this sites costs per year.

Other options might be to see if there are free sites we could set up. We'd still need someone to build it.

We could see if there are other existing forums that we could all join.

We rarely talk about satellite radios, so it mostly music, pop culture, sports, and current events that we talk about. I'd think that there are some other forums that might be a decent fit.

We aren't in imminent danger of getting shut down, but mapping out a plan isn't a bad idea.

Dr Pepper was created in 1885 by pharmacist Charles Alderton in Waco, Texas, and began to be sold nationally in 1904. Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. owns Crush, Vernors, Nehi, Snapple, Squirt, Canada Dry, Cactus Cooler, RC Cola, Diet-Rite, Hires Root Beer, A&W Root Beer and – in the United States only – Schweppes. Dr Pepper, 7-Up and Hawaiian Punch. Shares of Keurig Dr Pepper closed today at 34.377, a gain of 0.12 (0.35%).

Dr Pepper just passed Pepsi as the second biggest soda brand

Dr Pepper is kinda just shitty root beer right?

Also its weird how pharmacists created these sodas. I'm pretty sure Pepsi was created by one too.

I drink water most of the time, but with a meal I like a soda, usually a Zero kind.
I bounce around between Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, and Root Beer.
I’d say Root Beer is my favorite.

It's closest comparison is to cherry cola. Probably people who like root beer tend to like Dr. Pepper, but it's not root beer. I'm a Dr. Pepper fan, as are many cigar guys.

After morning coffee, I drink water with a splash of cranberry all day. I have an aperol spritz when I finish work. Then I usually have a glass of wine with dinner, but sometimes it's more of a fruit juice, tonic, and splash of wine. I usually have a little scotch in the evening.

I mainly bring a soda for the car (except early mornings). Beer is reserved for the beach, and dinner out.

Dr Pepper is mostly cherry, vanilla, plum, nutmeg and cinnamon but it also contains almond, blackberry, raspberry and several other flavors. Last month Dr Pepper introduced a new coconut-flavored soda.

Here is a 1968 Dr Pepper commercial with Dick Clark. The numbers on the bottle refer to Dr Pepper's first slogan, "Drnk a bite to eat at 10, 2 and 4." As for hot Dr Pepper, I tried it only one time. It was flat and tasted like cough syrup.

It's shitty, but doesn't remind me of root beer.

I drink water cuz I'm supposed to. Started in my 30s. I went from 2 or 3 cans of soda a day to zero, to stevia-root flavored soda.
Probably people who like root beer tend to like Dr. Pepper
Again I'm the exception.
Wouldn't you like to be a Pepper too?
Nope!
