Howard to Subscribers: "F You"

This morning Howard and Robin were back on the corporate bandwagon promoting Sirius and how great the channels were... ha ha...... wow......

Wow, Dire Straits! Innovative programming!

Like his explanation, "ok, boombox is gone but now it's called BPM". "Or Bubba is censored, but go listen to Breuer".

"Take it or leave it" is hilarious when angry callers try to get Howard fired up but Sirius dropping stations and neutering Bubba without communicating with its subscribers is annoying.

I think the source of what's wrong, is the failure of Sirius management (over time) to make profits, and wise business decisions.

Howard gets a lot of the complaints directed towards him, since he's a vocal company man and accessible to callers. If Mel K. or some other Sirius brass had a regular show and took calls, I think they'd be getting the heat that now gets onto 100 or 101, plus heat from listeners to other channels (or channels that aren't around anymore).

I understand why Howard and Bubba stick to the party line, but I got to believe that they are both bothered by what happened, and also how they were told by management to announce it.

Saving the details of the new arrangement until after the Holiday break, and diminishing the value of my subscription by reducing the amount of exclusive and uncensored content are the things that bother me, and I think it's Sirius management that's to be held accountable for them.

Now that is an intelligent, insightful and reasoned response.

What the hell are you doing here?!!? :smug:

I don't listen to Howard, but I am more then capable of responding to him telling the subscribers to fuck off and cancel

I'm more than capable of commenting on a lot of things your favored show does, but because I don't listen, I stay away from their forum. Care to explain why you can't seem to do the same?

I browse all of the categories. I used to listen to Howard and still have an opinion about the show, even though I don't listen to it anymore. If it bothers you that I post about, ignore my posts or F off and cancel.

Wouldn't that mean you had an opinion of the show? How can you have an opinion of a show that you no longer listen to?

Why do you have to still listen to a show to have a current opinion about it? JGatie has an opinion about O&A, though he claims to not listen to them. I have an opinion about my local FM mid-day guys (they suck), and I don't listen to them. In fact, one gennerally needs to have an opinion about a show ("its not good", or, "its not as good as", etc.) to not listen to it - otherwise, why wouldn't they listen to it? In this context, opinion is reason, and we generally have reasons for actions.

cool, this sounds like something riley would say

I love the fact that Howard raised the price to $14 dollars a month! He is trying to tell us something....

You are? You mean you won't take it out of context which is EXACTLY what is being done here?

He's not saying it to his listeners, he's saying it to the crybabies that complain about EVERYTHING. He gets married now his show sucks. He's talking about Howard TV the show sucks. He's talking to eric the midget the show sucks.

These people need to MOVE ON WITH LIFE if they are having life changing issues due to a RADIO SHOW.

But when he said we should be happy getting any Bubba cuz Howard's really the only thing worth listening to and that he's EXCITED to hear what Bubba is doing on FM radio, was that out of context too?

I can still believe that a fan of the show would call in to gush about HTV shows he liked, but Howard is EXCITED to listen to Bubba on a format he loathes and we are assholes for not being excited too? Sorry, can't buy that.

What do you guys expect, we only pay $14 a month. If Sirius cost $100 a month we might be able to get a live Bubba show.

Ahhhhh . . . NOW . . . the reason . . . uhhh . . . people usually abstain . . . uhhh . . . from partaking in . . . uhhh . . . actions are usually based . . . uhhh . . . on the lack of linear time flexibility . . . uhhh . . . creating a general apathetic nature . . . Uhhh . . . much like that cheap Jew motherf***** . . . uhhh . . . who won't pay me dime one . . . NONETHLESS . . . the Biavians have no need of such . . . uhhh . . . trivial diversions . . . uhhh . . . and things of this nature . . . O QUA TANZIN WAN.

Can't take that out of context! We should only praise everything on Howards channels even if something is taken away!

If I were Bubba, I'd be pissed about that comment. He even said he was excited to see Bubba get in trouble with his terrestrial employers. So that what can happen? So Bubba can get fired and not have any other option than to take SiriXM's bottom-barrel offer? The one that he can't afford to pay his people with?

My theory is: Howard wouldn't mind if or when Bubba gets fired because of the FCC where does he have left to go? Back to 101 for chicken scratch. That's where.
That or Howard and Bubba have a back room deal in place if he gets canned on FM.

I'll take my tinfoil hat off now.

I doubt if he will get canned on testicle radio because he is gaining affiliates , but if he were do drop the ball thanks to the Federal Censorship Commission then hopefully he gets back on satellite exclusively , but that is a scenario for later.

There is so much love in this thread. Im so glad the holidays made us all happy again. Ok carry on people.:nana:

Almost makes me want to start a complaint campaign to the FCC, but that just seems so douchey, like 0&0 pests trying to scuttle the merger...

How long would Howard listen to someone talking about a Bop Lop O Wop Jop O Bop?
