We need the high income, because everything's expensive. Also, there are probably other places with higher pay scales, but here it's more necessary to have 2 high-earning family members.

Lagniappe is a little something extra, like a baker’s dozen, a small extra gift or something. “Lan-yap”

I saw that coach Sean Payton used that word in a press conference after the Broncos game (because he picked up the word from all the years in New Orleans) and realized probably most people watching or listening wouldn’t know what that meant.

The guy running for Susan Collins' Maine senate seat is as testosterone-filled and alpha-dog as it gets. His name is Graham Platner, and he's a Marine vet and oyster fisherman. He's got this gruff, gravelly voice, and he always looks like he just got off a Harley. Here he is, crowd surfing at the Dropkick Murphys concert.
