The mystery of the day in that segment had very little to do with HPMike (most people knew and didn't care) but it was piling on Gary when Benji suggested that the staff guess who was coming in....Considering most of the people already talked to Mike. And frankly, the bit could have used a bit of pre-promotion...or just plain promotion (whatever). Howard talks about whenever any shithead celeb comes in during the first hour...why not tease this! I think Howard was just pissed today and taking it out on Gary! The marriage is going great (for listeners...not for Howard).

Anyways, it was still funny to listen to because of the gary stuff, and benjy yucking it up.

HPM is such a desperate airtime whore. The fact that he wants to come out is fine but does it need to be on the air while some stupid Brian McKnight song plays.

I knew who it was before they even pre-promoted it. This "announcement" was like announcing water is wet. Bigfoot joining the wack pack has more bearing on the show.

Hey I imagine coming out is a huge thing, but it's not like this guy was buried in the back of the closet with the winter coats and galoshes. That closet door was wide open, the lights were on, and he was just barely inside, dancing the can-can and wearing a feather boa.

Has anyone ever seen The Kids in the Hall Presents Brain Candy? There was a closeted gay guy in that movie, married, father of two. Anyway, this character was better at hiding his sexual orientation than HPM was. (If you saw the movie, you know what I mean.) :2funny:
