DRC May Be Nearing The End.....

Thanks, and I like the name of HEDGE fund. I thought and saw couple funny nicknames for the forum. Like for an example if a thread becomes too big. It's time to trim the bush.

So far everything is free, only expenses I see so far. If I want a domain, advertainment which limits number of clicks. So far, I haven't seen any advertainment because I use a plugin on chrome which blocks them and pop-ups.

Now I want to increase storage which will probably happen when people add attachments. I only get 50MB of storage for free.

Nice work with the site Wolf! Thanks for the backup plan.

Question......

Charles mentioned that he reached out to Taylor to possibly move DRC to his server.
That would (in theory) keep us running without changes. If that were to happen, Charles would still have some out of pocket expenses.
In the same line as the Hedge Fund, I wonder about costs to Charles and the commitment to maintaining DRC.

Would folks here be willing to send a few bucks to Charles by PayPal to support the cause and show our appreciation for his effort?
He would have domain name transfer costs and hopefully an upgrade in our XenForo forum software license.

I'd be willing to send the guy a few bucks for his efforts.

Thoughts?

Me too, depends on how much. Hopefully he not going to ask for to much HEDGE fund like every month?

I still rather keep some things original. Possibly updated certain areas like certain forum categories haven't been touched in a few years, possibly close to it. Like install bay, hardware exchange and maybe redo couple areas in the music talk?

Maybe I'm having bit of fun designing and creating unique boards names for a new forum which will probably sit empty.

October’s almost over, and it’s been a couple of weeks I doubt there’s been any new news. Any updates?

I’m getting tempted to start another round of madness soon, but I don’t want to kick things off only for the site to suddenly vanish or something to happen.

Here's an update, Wolf – but it's not a good update. Sirius Buzz founder/moderator Charles LaRocca just posted this:

"I never heard back from Taylor about DRC. If anyone is still in contact with him, feel free to let him know I reached out. We did business back in the day and were always friendly with each other."

Just do what you are going to do. If it disappears, you can restart it at a new place if there is one. If not, it will just be madness not knowing when the Beatles will win.

Here is something we can vote on: Who is harder to get a hold of, Taylor Mitchell or the Wizard of Oz? By the way, the reason Sirius Buzz was down for a few days in June is because Charles was upgrading the server.

I texted Taylor.
He received Charles's email, but hadn't had a chance to reply.
He's OK with the idea of handing over the site.

I let Charles know what Taylor said.

It's up to them to work through things on their ends.

I'll let you know if I hear anything else.

It's almost as if you're brokering the Middle East peace deal.

I decided to check-in with the SiriusBuzz forums, to see what's been going on. This is the most succinct way to describe it

There are exactly 2 people posting on the forums. Channel98 (a.k.a. Rewind) posts many of the same things he posts here, plus all the political stuff he wants, to an audience of zero. There are no replies or comments from anyone.

Oddly, member Atypical also posts on the forums, but in different threads. And his posts also elicit no replies or comments. The two of them never seem to interact; which is odd, as they are the only 2 active members.

Someone came along recently, to ask an odd question in the SiriusXM Technology forum. So I replied to that post with (hopefully) useful info.
