DRC Madness #23 - DRC All-Time Songs

I understood it was talking about the 700. I think a couple may actually be uncharted. Did Stairway chart? I know Werewolves peaked @ #21.
 
The votes are in. The results are tabulated. 6 people voted. Not one song received votes from every voter. 2 songs received 5 votes (neither are the #1 song). The #1 song got 4 votes. 23 songs got 0 votes. 5 of those 23 were extra songs nominated by nobody. I calculated the order based upon the top 50 lists I got from everybody. Jon and Wolf had less than 50 so did not include the lower ranked songs. The #1 song on everybody's list got 50 points. The 50th song got 1 point. Basically points = 51 - rank. There weren't too many ties but I applied these tie breakers when the points total was tied:

1. Highest Ranking Position -- If 2 songs were tied and they each got 2 votes -- one for 2nd and 4th and the other for 3rd and 3rd the one with the 2nd place vote would win the tie
2. Number of votes -- number of people voting for the song
3. If one of the songs was an extra song voted by nobody, it lost the tiebreaker to a song nominated by one of us.
4. Total number of points LESS the points of the person who submitted the song
5. Highest rank excluding the ranking of the original submitter

If the tie was not resolved with those, the song remained tied. The order presented will be random and I will try to present all tied entries in one post or at least on 1 day. The ties were all middle to bottom of the list.

I will do this countdown style with 3-5 songs per day (more if ties). I will include with each song who submitted it (thanx for the info @WolFyre). I will also include who voted for it and what rank they gave it and the total points.

The next post will be the 0 vote entries. It will either be tonight or tomorrow morning. I will do the first countdown songs tomorrow evening.

Paul Hardcastle is best known for his 1985 hit 19. The title refers to the average age of US soldiers fighting in Việt Nam. 19 Below Zeroincludes background vocals by Paul's daughter Maxine. It, and Absolute Zero, were recorded in 1985 but not released until 2012 when they appeared on a two-CD compilation album titled 19 Below Zero.

Elton John did an album called "Too Low For Zero" in 1983. The title track of the album will qualify for your list.
 
"Weird Al" Yankovic I believe did a cut "Christmas At Ground Zero". It's a festive favourite about Christmas time after they drop all the nukes.
 
That song was on Weird Al's 1986 Polka Party! album. Would it be weird to post a Christmas song in June? Naw, not at all.

I have the most, what do I win? There were some better songs nominated of course, I can't include those in my final 50. I basically nominated more personal closer songs then favorite. I have way too damn many favorite songs, which would take me forever to rank.

There are no wrong answers in this countdown. A lot of people ranked songs which were nominated by somebody else.
