Contrary to popular belief, Clark Kent changed his clothes in a phone booth only one time, never in the comic books and never on the 1952-58 Superman television series. It was in a 1942 Superman Sunday comic strip drawn by Wayne Boring and inked by Stan Kaye. Clark would have had to be extremely fast to avoid being seen, considering three sides of the phone booth are clear glass!

In all the episodes where Superman was shown flying out the window, the same piece of film was used. Actor George Reeves (real name: George Keefer Brewer) bounced off a springboard (which was unseen by viewers) and landed on a thick foam pad (which was unseen by viewers) outside the window. We now return you to your regularly scheduled "Stupid Things Happening In Florida" discussion.

Clark Kent changed his clothes in a phone booth only one time, never in the comic books
Yes, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster (creators of Superman) used a phone booth for Clark Kent to change into Superman in a Sunday newspaper comic strip in late 1942. Clark, seeing that there is a job for Superman, excuses himself from Lois by arranging to be called away by a bogus phone call. While inside the phone booth he says to himself, "This definitely isn't the most comfortable place in the world to switch garments, but I've got to change identities - and in a hurry!" Yet this was not the very first time Superman found himself changing clothes inside a phone booth.

Bud Collyer, who voiced Superman in the 1940s radio series, would also sometimes state in an episode that he needed to duck into a nearby phonebooth for a quick change from his Clark Kent identity into the colorful garb of Superman.

Some of the earliest examples of Clark Kent using a phone booth to change in to Superman in the comic books are "Action Comics #119" (1948) in the story "Superman for a Day!" by Edmond Hamilton, "Superman #60" (1949) in the story "Superman Fights the Super-Brain" by Don Cameron, and in "Superman #69" (1951) in the story "The Prankster’s Apprentice" we see Clark removing his shirt in a phone booth.

Jury awards family $800K in Chicken McNuggets burn case

This is such a WTF story. I don't understand any of it. Your kid dropped a hot McNugget. Serves you right for feeding her that crap anyway. Just tell her everything will be fine and move on. But no. The kid just got a little skin blemish (which may go away). This is just insanity.

"McDonald’s and franchise owner Upchurch Foods were liable for failing to properly warn or provide reasonable instructions on the possible harm from the hot McNuggets dispensed at a Tamarac, Florida, drive-thru."

"The jury awarded the family a total of $800,000 for pain and suffering, disfigurement, mental anguish, inconvenience, and loss of capacity for enjoyment of life. That includes $400,000 for injuries sustained in the past and $400,000 for damages the jury determined will be sustained in the future."

Yes, there really is a Rent-A-Hitman website. They sell mugs, shirts and tote bags – but they do not rent hit men. The site is a parody. This Florida woman thought it was legitimate.

This idiot is outraged by a children's book that mentions spin-the-bottle. He probably also thinks the name "hopscotch" is demeaning to Scottish people.

That is so incredibly gross. I mean I can't even imagine shooting someone but let's say it happens in the heat of the moment. Then you decide the best way to get rid of them is to dismember them?

And he's fucking 78 so it couldn't be easy. What did he do grab like a serrated knife from the kitchen? Ew and then you have to I guess saw through the joints because you can't saw through the bones if you're 78 right? I mean I doubt I could do that.

Delray is like 20 miles north of my town. I've been there a million times. The vast majority of Delray is upper middle class. They have a bad area but from looking at this guy I doubt he was from that part of town. So if he had some money why not just leave the old broad?

Cool cop for just having the parents come pick him up. He could have taken him in a juvie.

When you guys were teens didn't you do stupid shit like that? I never got it up to 132 but when I was a teen on straightaways on the highway my Pontiac had a max speed of like 140 and I definitely got it up to 105 a couple times but only for like 30 seconds at a time.

That actually makes me think of another crazy story I did as a teen.

So when we were like 16 or 17 my buddy Adam and I lived close by and if one of us didn't have a car for any reason, we would drive the other one home from school and we would play this incredibly stupid game on the suburban streets.

One would be driving and the other would be in the passenger seat and the driver would take his seat and put it all the way back so he couldn't see anything and then the passenger would take control of the wheel and tell the guy controlling the pedals when to speed up or slow down.

My God that was dangerous and I'm lucky we never got arrested or never killed ourselves because we did that a lot. We thought it was so funny.

This was in Philly not FL so maybe it doesn't fit here but still...I guess we had a FL attitude back then.

Teenagers are fucking idiots.
