You're losing me here, team. In your world, should the truck driver climb into the cargo area and re-scan things each time he crosses a state line or something?

Not hardly, but they are SUPPOSE to scan it each time it makes it to a hub (by policy) and clearly that is not happening. I don't think anyone said anything about climbing in the back of the truck and scanning it when they crossed a state line.

Right but there's probably a full 18-wheeler that right now is full of packages all going to the same place. From Texas. To [your state]. If your package is gonna be at your front door tomorrow, it's still in that 18-wheeler now, i.e. nobody has touched it since Texas but it's getting closer and closer and closer...

The transfering to a hub, then to a smaller delivery truck, probably happens when we're all asleep tonight. Most of the traveling is already done by then, of course.

You could be right, but sometimes the fact is they just drop the ball and packages fail to get scanned. But hopefully it will arrive soon it will be play time then!

General rule of thumb. Anytime a package exists/enters a truck it will be scanned. This would generally be in a hub, but it may take time before the scan info will post to the web site. I do know Fed X/UPS is having a very busy week in general. Lots of packages are moving through the system right now. They are both customers of mine, and I know many management members, and other employees. If something does not seem correct to you just call in with your tracking #.

Yay! Mine's out for delivery. My only comment with the tracking is that normally there's an entry anytime it enters or leaves a hub or facility. I had a shipment from woot before that sat in the Fedex facility for over 2 weeks before it moved. I was just concerned that was happening again, since from the Fedex tracking you would have thought it never left TX.

Anyway, I was playing with Slacker online last night, and it looks pretty cool!

the slacker is back up on woot.com right now. But it's a woot off, so get going asap if you want one. (Or another one.)
