Not bad yesterday. Only 3 laps down in her second Nationwide start and she finished the race. A little more of dose of reality of what it takes to handle a car with little down-force compared to the IRL version. Couple of speeding penalties but only one more than the veteran, Carl Edwards. IMO a successful day.

And riding around for the race was planned, she wasn't out there to win the race or get a top 5. I do wonder tho why they don't take her to some little track or something and get her feeling better in the car and she can learn more what she likes or dislikes... Might help her some as well as the team.

Ya Michael McDowell came down on here when she was passing him. At least he took full blame for it, but I think it was just a racing deal.

Teams were at the tail end of green flag pit stops when the wreck occurred. Before the pit stops, she was running in the upper 20's / low 30's. As the stops took place she had moved into the top 5 and then back after her stop. I don't know the exact position & I deleted my DVR's copy.

I have to hand it to Kevin for trying to help her out... Dudes leading the race and waving her to go up to the high line with him that it is better up there. Kudos to him..

I forgot about that. When she commented on that, she seemed quite surprised that a competitor would do something like that. I think many of them would like to see her succeed just as much as many fans would love to see her fail, miserably.

I think it will be half and half of either. Youll have half of the drivers envious of her success if she succeeds, while the other half would like to help her succeed, all at the same time getting credit for helping her succeed.

Canada Eh!
From a financial stand point its good for the sport if she does well. A lot of drivers / owners aren't dummies they know this and it will bring sponsors back which will benefit them.

And also, in NASCAR more than other forms of racing, competitors do help each other out and give advice.

She said that before, at Daytona I think. That other drivers were offering advice and in the IRL they wouldn't do that. I think NASCAR drivers know that the better each of them are, the better it is for everyone overall

Not many drivers I know of would probably be helping another driver out and be leading the race at the same time.
