I totally agree I want to have good entertainment, sports, etc.. That why I'm sticking with DirecTV Now, it the same as DirecTV. Little by little each month, more and more channels are being added to all the packages. Since I'm an AT&T customer, I get a discount with DirecTV and all I have to pay is $10 bucks a month for 60+ channels. If I want I pay an extra $10 bucks, I would get 20+ channels and so on for all of the there packages. But I don't watch tons of channels, just the basic local channels and everyday channels like FX. TBS, USA, etc.
I have checked out Hulu TV, PS Vue, and Sling. First off Hulu TV was very confusing and expensive. PS Vue and Sling were reasonable, but they didn't much what I was looking for and comparing the prices PS Vue, Sling and DTV are pretty much around the same price. But technically I would save a bit more with DTV being an AT&T customer and I get HBO for free.
Cable was great until the prices got out of control. Satellite TV is great, better prices and more channel options. Only issues, I had if there was a bad storm which I rarely had could knock out the signal. But besides looking at an ugly dish attached to the house.
I have Cox internet which uses cable as their internet. I was going to go with CenturyLink with there fiber optic wire which is faster. I was going to sign up for the 40-80 Mbps package.
But I live in a major city and when inputted my address, it doesn't offer those 3 great deals. It says I only qualify for 1.5 Mbps? So I had to look that up, that is fast speed but not fast enough for movies, Netflix, and games.
That is f'ed up, so all this work I did went out the window. Now I can't change providers until more speed comes out to my area and I'm still stuck with crappy Cox. Well I reactivated my DirecTV Now but I can't fully use it until I find somebody better or if this future deal for Cox ever comes true.
