Companies That Might Go Out Of Business

Nope. Not one I had anything to do with, but I have friends at the office that did it, and with the contractors and a couple of the other consultants. I hadn't talked to any of them about what projects they are working on it quite a while.

Since the contracts are all signed and they are that far through construction, Peloton would lose all of their money for the building anyway. It makes sense to finish the building and sell it to someone else that's looking for space that's move-in ready. Peloton will get a lot of their money back.

The Family Dollar chain was founded in 1959 in Charlotte, North Carolina and now has stores in every state except Alaska, Hawai'i, Oregon and Washington. Dollar Tree acquired Family Dollar in 2015. Dollar Tree also acquired Family Dollar's rats.

I predict that by the end of the decade, this will make all the lists of top tech disasters. Some of the quotes in here are hilarious.

CNN+ will shut down at the end of April

Discovery's streaming boss J.B. Perrette and incoming CNN CEO Chris Licht notified staffers of the decision in a meeting on Thursday afternoon. Licht bluntly told employees it was a "uniquely shitty situation. It is not your fault that you had the rug pulled out from underneath you".

"Some of this was avoidable," he said, but "prior leadership decided to just keep going" with the planned March launch of CNN+ despite the impending merger, he said.

The decision to shut down CNN+ just weeks after it launched marked a stunning end to the streaming news service. Executives had touted the application as the most significant launch since Ted Turner founded CNN in 1980. CNN had poured hundreds of millions of dollars into the new streaming app and lured top talent from other networks for it, including Kasie Hunt from NBC and Chris Wallace from Fox News.

HBO Max is owned by WarnerMedia and offers some channels like HBO, DC, Adult Swim, TCM and Cartoon Network. They should renamed the app to WarnerMedia+ and offer all the Turner Networks. Maybe CNN would have an better chance?

To me Discovery+ is a great app that offers various channels.

Sometime later this year WarnerMedia and Discovery will merge and who knows what mess that will be?

Yes Scotch, I know there an thread for mergers. Merger Deals I'm mainly saying soon HBO Max and Discovery+ will be joining this thread.

I think the WB/Discovery merger already occurred.

IMHO, CNN is something people watch only if you want news. People don't obsess with it like conservatives do with Fox News.

It's also worth noting that there's free streaming and OTA news channels like Newsy and Cheddar.

It's already lasted longer than CNN+. But I've never once mentioned that platform here.

As far as social media goes, I'd just like a platform that allows any type of speech that isn't illegal.
