A second restaurant opened in 1935. In the mid-1970s, there were more than 1,000 Howard Johnson's restaurants in the United States and Canada. Now there are none.

Brothers Charles and Joseph Revson founded the Revlon cosmetics company March 1, 1932 in New York City. The "L" in the name came from chemist Charles Lachman. Revlon bought the Mitchum deodorant company in 1970, bought the Elizabeth Arden cosmetics company in 2016 – and is bankrupt in 2022.

 
I'm surprised the car vending machine hasn't been mentioned in the "Things that nobody needs" thread. Carvana isn't making much money on them because very few people carry at least 80,000 quarters in their pocket. Here is a video showing how the vending machine works:

 
I’m surprised that they even raised enough capital to build one of those stupid machines, let alone enough to actually hire enough people they would have to lay off after a couple of years.
I've always had the impression that the concept made no sense, but I never looked into it to confirm. Now it's confirmed.

And why is the passenger window down?
And why is there already a soda cup in the cup holder?
 
Bed Bath & Beyond, originally Bed 'n Bath, was founded in 1971 in Springfield, Massachusetts. Five years ago there were 1,350 Bed Bath & Beyond stores in the US and Canada. Now there are 771. (The company also owns Buy Buy Baby, One Kings Lane and Harmon Face Values.) Shares of Bed Bath & Beyond today closed at an all-time low of 1.69, a drop of 0.72 (30.05%).

 
Why don’t they introduce there Clicker remote and we can go beyond.
 
So based on above, if you want to have a party now in your bed or bath, you are going to be pretty much screwed.
