That was lil' ol' me. In September 2023, I mentioned the book in a thread cleverly titled "Books." When I learned that Blanc had written an autobiography, I almost diddn't buy it because I thought, "He does cartoon voices. There couldn't be much to his life story." I bought the book – and I'm glad I did. Blanc also voiced Mr. Spacely on The Jetsons. Here is Mel with David Letterman, November 15, 1982:

Since nobody is wondering how many different singles have been titled Lady, I can tell you there are 11:

Lady – Coquettes (--/1955)
Lady – Jack Jones (39/1967)
Lady – David Rogers (--/1973)
Lady – Styx (6/1974)
Lady – Little River Band (10/1979)
Lady – Kenny Rogers (1/1980)
Lady – Whispers (28/1980)
Lady – D'Angelo (10/1995)
Lady – Mista (90/1997)
Lady – Lenny Kravitz (27/2004)
Lady – Brett Young (52/2021)

The Coquettes were Bix Brent (real name: Ruth Ann Geise), Dolores Dahl and Bettye McCormick. Their song was about the cocker spaniel Lady from Disney's animated movie Lady & The Tramp. It was written by Erdman Penner, Oliver Wallace and Sidney Fine. The song was not included in the movie or on the soundtrack album – and it isn't on YouTube. Drat!

Jack Jones' Lady was number one on the adult contemporary chart for four weeks in March 1967:

Sultans Of Swing, written by Mark Knopfler, was a #4 hit for Dire Straits in April 1979. Here is an unusual cover version by Pink Turtle, a swing/jazz band from France. This is from their À La Mode album, released on July 30, 2012. It has 14 remakes including Imagine, Baker Street, A Hard Day's Night, You Really Got Me, You're The One That I Want and Video Killed The Radio Star.

AT40 Top 100 Of

That was the title on my sat radio. And when I hit the 5 keys required to see the full 32, there was no change. However, I recognized the music and Casey conformed, it is the Top 100 of 1978.
