Come to think of it, there are a number of songs from artists I love that are instant channel changers for me. That cover of the "Oh where oh where can my baby be" song by Pearl Jam (I can usually recognize it by the 2nd drum hit of the intro) and "Brick" by Ben Folds Five. I believe we have a thread for these.

I just checked the thread "Sappy songs by good bands" (which I started in 2014), and both Squeeze Box and Brick are mentioned in the first page. So most likely, every song I hate by bands I like is already listed there.

The Pearl Jam song is a remake of J. Frank Wilson's Last Kiss, which peaked at #2 on the Hot 100 in the first week of November 1964. (The Supremes' Baby Love was number one.) The Everly Brothers' original version of Love Hurts, written by Boudleaux Bryant and included on the 1960 album A Date With The Everly Brothers, is much more listenable than Nazareth's remake:
