Jeanne Pruett's Satin Sheets was number one for three weeks on Billboard's country chart in May-June 1973 and reached #28 on the Hot 100. The song was written by John Volinkaty (1943-92). It was first recorded by Bill Anderson and Jan Howard in April 1971 and released on their January 1972 album Country Essentials. Jeanne, whose real name is Norma Jean Bowman, had four other top-ten country hits: I'm Your Woman, Back To Back, Temporarily Yours and It's Too Late. In 1979, she wrote and recorded Please Sing Satin Sheets For Me, a sequel to Satin Sheets. It reached #54 on the country chart in September.

Tonight's The Night ends with Rod Stewart's then-girlfriend, Swedish actress Britt Eklund, speaking French: "J'ai un peu peur de ce que ma mère va dire. Mon amour, approche-toi, embrasse-moi. Oh, je t'adore tellement. Ce soir, mon ami. Oui, ce soir, mon ami. Je t'aime, je t'aime, je t'aime."

It sounds a lot sexier in French than in English: "I'm a little afraid of what my mother will say. My love, come closer, kiss me. Oh, I adore you so much. Tonight, my friend. Yes, tonight, my friend. I love you, I love you, I love you."
