I had never heard this before hearing these countdowns on SiriusXM; and I can see that you might find it funny and entertaining. But boy, does it annoy the shit out of me! It's an instant channel changer.
It was like a Weird Al song when I I first heard it as a kid.
If I heard it very often, I wouldn't find it so amusing.

There were eight remakes on that top 40. Amazing Grace, written by John Newton in 1835, was first recorded in August 1922 by The Original Sacred Harp Choir. Be My Baby was a #2 hit for the Ronettes in October 1963. The Impressions' Gypsy Woman reached #2 on the R&B chart and #20 on the Hot 100 in December 1961. Stoney End was written and recorded by Laura Nyro in 1966. It was the B-side of Wedding Bell Blues, which she also wrote and which reached #103 on the Hot 100 and later became a number-one hit for the 5th Dimension.

Mr Bojangles was written and recorded by Jerry Jeff Walker in November 1967 and released as a single in June 1968. I Hear You Knocking was an R&B hit for Smiley Lewis and a pop hit for Gale Storm in 1955. River Deep Mountain High is the title track of a 1966 Ike & Tina Turner album and was a minor hit when released as a single in 1969. Tina sings the song. Producer Phil Spector did not want Ike interfering with the recording so he paid Ike (and gave him credit on the label) to stay away from the studio.

I Really Don't Want To Know was first recorded by Eddy Arnold on October 23, 1953 and went to number one on the country chart in May 1954. Elvis Presley's version got to #23 on the country chart and #21 on the Hot 100 in February 1971 and an instrumental version by harmonica player Charlie McCoy reached #19 on the country chart in December 1972. A version by Les Paul & Mary Ford reached #11 on the pop chart in May 1954.
