It Don't Come Easy has been recorded by more than 20 other artists including Al Caiola, Bettye LaVette, Jeremy Morris, Christopher Clause, the Tribes and the Aquarius Band. Hello It's Me was originally a hit by Nazz, a Philadelphia band that included lead singer Robert Antoni, guitarist Todd Rundgren, bassist Carsen Van Osten and drummer Thom Mooney. It reached #71 in March 1969 and re-entered the chart in January 1970, peaking at #66 a month later. This is the first song Rundgren ever wrote, at age 19 in 1967, after his girlfriend Linda broke up with him.

The uncredited male voice on Let Me Be There is Michael Sammes, a British cellist and arranger who formed the Mike Sammes Singers in 1957. They sang background vocals on more than 280 albums and singles. They recorded with Cliff Richard, Tom Jones, Anthony Newley, Engelbert Humperdinck, Ronnie Hume, Frank Cordell, Geoff Love, Helen Shapiro, Jack Laroque, John Gregory, Toots Camarata and many others and sang on several soundtracks of animated films including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Bedknobs & Broomsticks and The Aristocats. Mike Sammes was one of the cello players on the Beatles' Good Night and the Mike Sammes Singers sang background vocals. After Sammes died at age 73 in 2001, the group disbanded.

38. Todd Rundgren - Hello It's Me just not my thing
18. Kool & The Gang - Jungle Boogie see below
3. Barbra Streisand - The Way We Were it's nice but dull, and it reminds me of Naked Gun
1. Ringo Starr - You're Sixteen creepy

24. David Essex - Rock On
18. Kool & The Gang - Jungle Boogie
7. Brownsville Station - Smokin' in the Boys Room

Examples of songs where I like the cover better than the original. Probably based on when I was born. Had I been born 5-10 years earlier, I'd probably think the opposite.
