Paul Williams wrote An Old Fashioned Love Song in early 1971 and offered it to the Carpenters. Richard Carpenter didn't like the song. Williams then offered it to Micky Dolenz. (The Monkees had broken up in 1970.) Micky was hesitant to record it – so Williams gave it to Three Dog Night, who had a #4 hit with the song in November 1971. In 2012, Micky finally recorded An Old Fashioned Love Song. This is from his CD Remember:

I'm Losing You was a #8 pop hit and number-one R&B hit for the Temptations in December 1966. A remake by Rare Earth got to #7 on the Hot 100 and #20 on the R&B chart in October 1970. Rod Stewart's version got to #24 on the Hot 100 in December 1971. Here is the original:

Come & Get It, Badfinger's second hit, was written by Paul McCartney. Day After Day, Badfinger's fourth hit, was written by lead singer Pete Ham and produced by George Harrison. (Ham committed suicide in 1975. He was 27.) The group's first hit, Maybe Tomorrow, reached #67 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #51 on the Cash Box Top 100 in February 1969. It reached #20 on the Good Guys survey of WMCA in New York. The band was then known as the Iveys, after a street in their home town of Swansea, Wales.

They're staples of classic rock, so I wouldn't think it would be a big assumption. The Rod Stewart song sounds a lot like the original. And the Badfinger song sounds like this

Ok. I have heard that one. Would not make my list. The other one I have never heard before. Also will not make my list.

The Streak is not an easy song to perform live – but Ray Stevens managed. Here is a performance from 1984. It starts out weird but it gets better. "Boogity boogity!"

The Loco-Motion, written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King, was a number-one hit for Little Eva (Eva Narcissus Boyd) in 1962, a number-one hit for Grand Funk in 1974 and a #3 hit for Kylie Minogue in 1988. Of the more than a hundred artists who have recorded the song, one who should definitely not have recorded it is Pat Boone. This is from his 1964 album Boss Beat. David Gates is the produucer/arranger/conductor. The uncredited background singers are the Girlfriends.
