He's trending toward insanity if he thinks that truck is anything less than fugly.
It would be a good lunar rover if he's actually able to get a spaceship to Mars.

My car has turned 9 years old this month. I've never had one this long, yet on a daily basis, I'm still in awe of its excellence. It just goes and goes. It drives like new everyday, it gets me through every kind of weather, and through every situation, and it's almost never given me any sort of problem. I put snows on it, and it's my winter car. In warmer weather, the top is down. It can carry our bikes. It's taken our family of four on long excursions.

I wasn't planning to have this car for 9 years, but in order to build a house, I needed it to keep running, and have no payments. And I'd still like to keep it. I'm happy to keep rowing through its 6 manual gears, and clutch on each one. I can't imagine how many gearshifts I've made in 35 years of commuting with manual transmissions.

Let's all toast: the car of Scotch & Cigar!

A BMW? I will try to not let that colour my opinion of you. Most BMW owners I see on the roads are arrogant bastards. But looking at your description under your avatar .... maybe I will let it colour my opinion.

9 years is pretty good. A good car can last you 20 if you can keep other drivers from hitting you.

I hate car shopping. The longer I can hang on to one, the better. I'd rather drive one into the ground than deal with getting a new one every 2 or 3 years.
Driving a new one is awesome, but like IRBS said, someone is always trying to hit you, ding your paint, or otherwise bring you down.

How can that possibly differ from your opinion of me as a Boston sports fan? ;)

I've always owned only the entry-level models (often used). I'm not that junior executive that's got places to be, or that aggressive high-flyer who's weaving through traffic. It's a little convertible with a stick-shift; kind of like a Miata that's actually useful. Yes, many BMW drivers are a-holes, along with Audi and Mercedes drivers. And guys in jacked-up pickups. And half the rest of the drivers out there.

It’s really only one Boston team which colours my opinion. :). Maybe 2 if the Leafs play the Bruins one more time.

Why do people blur out license plates? What does it matter if people see your plate?

Red light cameras.
Toll highways relying on plate photography.

If you are talking about in photos, so people can’t call their friend in the DMV and run the plates. I know they always do that in movies but since when is anybody you have ever seen working in a DMV ever looked like they have friends.
