NA$CAR is all about double dipping sponsorships. Remember the "Powerade" fiasco in victory lane at several races 2 years ago.

They sign a deal to have one company be the official this or that for NASCAR then sign their competitor to be the official this or that at ISC tracks.

Didn't Jimmie Johnson get reprimanded for knocking off some bottles from the top of the car in Victory Lane?...:right:

Then the next week Jeff Gordon won the Brickyard and didn't take the car to Victory Lane...:p

I remember the incident with Johnson, but not with Gordon's incident

Johnson fined for post-race bottle incident...

From this article by Marty Smith after the 2004 Brickyard...

Judging by feedback, many of you were frustrated that this week's question didn't deal with Bottlegate, or the fact that Gordon chose to stop at the start/finish line and celebrate with fans and team rather than take the Dupont Chevy to Victory Lane. You yearn for my take. Here it is:

Who cares? NASCAR may fine him for it, and if they do it'll be the second stupidest fine of all time, just behind Jimmie Johnson's $10,000 penalty at Pocono. Gordon just won his fourth Brickyard 400, an historic day in NASCAR history. He has the right to celebrate however he pleases, so long as it endangers no one physically or emotionally.

No one complained about this crap when Dale Jr. slid through the infield grass at Daytona or Michael Waltrip popped out of the roof hatch at Talladega, did they?

Any Bud Shootout without Ken Schrader in it won't get watched.

I'm sorry but that's just silly...

A race is still a race, with or without Ken. With or without Dale, Jeff, Jimmie, Tony, or Kyle...

And are you saying that even if Ken doesn't have a chance to win it's still not worth watching?...

It would be nice to see Ken & the #49 BAM Car on the race track, again, but until the change the rules (again), I'll just be happy to hear a race...:)

It has been watched since the death of SR, and I really dont think they are in the same league. However, I do like Schrader, and enjoy watching my buddy kick his butt a couple of times a year in open wheel modifieds!:buttrock:
