Sorry to hear all you guys having trucking-job difficulties. I really feel lucky to have my driving job with UPS. All I have to do is drive and couple trailers at each end of my run. I drive from Charlotte to Atlanta four nights a week. I know, I'm not a "real" truck driver but it's a pretty good living. I've been with the company almost 38 years and I've been on the road since 1985.

It's a real trucking job. I know I'd love to do that...:)

I got a question. If braindead France wanted Tony Stewart in the race, why didnt they just allow past winners of the race compete? Did he not get drunk enough the previous night before he came up with the idea of the wildcard?

The flip side of that arguement is that their wild card involves previous Sprint/Nextel/Winston cup champions.

I dont know, you could hear it in Mark's voice how disapointed he was. Its a pretty big slap in the face to him that he was excluded while they did all they could do to get Stewart in. I wish somebody would have the guts to ask somebody from Nascar what the hell they were thinking when they decided on that wild card.

I don't like the qualifications for the race either but what do you do? Obviously the old way of qualifying for this race is out because of sponsorship conflict. Maybe they could make it a 'Top 35' race as a way of rewarding the teams from the previous year? That would give most all of the teams that will be in the 500 a chance to practice & eliminate most of the complaining about practice time.
