Bubba speaks about the contract issue

I'd hate to see Sirius lose both Bubba and Ellis. In the future I'd LOVE to see a Bubba in the morning and Ellis in the afternoon type deal on any channel.

Someone (Chob maybe?) said that it would be better for Ellis to remain on Faction. Ellis on 101, say, would mean that he'd have to play commercials and that XM listeners would have to pay extra.

Ellis remaining on Faction would be the best deal for him.

I'm just curious though how many people have worked jobs where they complained about getting too much money? Doesn't everyone feel they don't get paid as much as they should?

And when you compare salaries nothing will ever make sense. Does it make sense a garbageman in a town might make $60k and a teacher $30k? I dunno I guess I'm in the minority on this opinion.

I love Bubba and Riley but I don't think their pay should be the main focus of their shows. If I had an employee that spent all day talking about they aren't getting enough money I don't think they would last long at the job. Any job for that matter.

In Bubba's defense he really hasn't talked about it much lately. He will if someone asks a question. He is honest like that. Then again I only listen exclusively on Fridays so I could be wrong.

Oh by the way the whole teachers making $30,000 a year is old old and out of date news. My wife is a teacher and in our disctrict you can make anywhere from $50,000 to $85,000. They start you out pretty decent too. Plus their benefits are great. Some are better than mine and I work for the state.

Anytime someone brings up Bubba or Howard's pay, it seems like it's always "you overthink it, it's not as much as you think."

With that said, the salary of the US President is beans compared to any NBA/NFL player. Really, a NFL player only "works" a few days every year. Sure, there's practice, but how many games does the NFL player play in each year? And an NFL player doesn't even play the entire game. (How much "time of possession" does each NFL team see per game?)

Bubba has been doing some things lately that will bring old listeners back. He is reminding me of last years shows which is great. I'm being more and more captivated like I was prior to the FM Show taking over.

But the point about salaries is things will never make sense when you compare them.
