Samples Steely Dan "Black Cow". At some point in this documentary, Fagen and Becker start yelling "Uptown baby! Uptown baby!" Kinda funny.

I remember seeing this before. I was always confused as to why the authorized the sample.

Radio Disney played a remixed version of MMMBop that was never commercially available. I liked it better than the original. Here is Hanson singing MMMBop live in 2016 – and every time a close-up of the audience is shown, I think of Chuck Berry's My Ding-A-Ling: "There's two ladies singin' together in harmony. That's all right, honeys. This is a free country. Live like you wanna live. Ain't nobody gonna knock it!"

I'll say 7. Most of my good songs are on Sadchild's best list. The Queen song is chronologically out of place, but it must be because of Wayne's World.

Achy Breaky Heart topped the country chart for five weeks in May-June 1993 and peaked at #4 on the Hot 100. The song won a CMA award for single of the year. In the 1980s-90s, KIIS in Los Angeles aired a top-30 countdown every Friday afternoon. Achy Breaky Heart reached #10 on the KIIS Hit List – but the only time it got played was during the countdown shows – six times in six weeks. Program director Jeff Wyatt hated the song.

Here is the original version of the song, titled Don't Tell My Heart. It was the final track of the Marcy Brothers' 1991 album cleverly titled The Marcy Brothers. Kevin, Kris and Kendal Marcy were born in Hay Springs, Nebraska and charted six songs, 1988-91. Cotton Pickin' Time reached #34 in July 1989 and was their only top-40 country hit.
