It was a long ride if nothing else. I hope they used the restroom before they left, and brought a snack. At least it wasn’t a bumpy ride.

They were busy living in a fantasy...their own little nasty world...

Am I the only hearing "six thre four five sev'n eight ni-ee-ii-een" in my head? A la Tommy Tutone

I thought the same thing. I had to do a double take at the numbers.

Here's the US Bubbling Under The HOT 100 For Week Ending 10/25/80:

TW	LW	Artist	Title	Record Company	Weeks on Chart	Hot 100 Debut	Peak
110	108	Bay Brothers	Baby Don't Give Up	Millennium (RCA)	3	-	108

The Bay Brothers don't have a Wiki page. I did find the following:

The Bay Brothers was an obscure, little-known blue-eyed soul group. They recorded some tracks on Millennium Records in 1980-81. In 1980 they recorded two tracks "Baby don't give up" and "Magic in her love". In 1981 they recorded the famous track entitled "What does it take (to win your love)". Many other Artists or Groups have recorded this track. Also they recorded single entitled "Love never comes easy". From 7 inch in 1980 I chose killer track entitled "Baby don't give up". Produced by Lou Hokenson & Ernie Sorrentino.

I like "Hourglass". The song and the optical illusions video for it too.

Great song. I bought the cassette due to the video and airplay.

Doughty is great.
I saw him open for Violent Femmes, and Billy Idol.

I didn't know the Van Zant song was a remake: 634-5789 (Soulsville, U.S.A.) - Wikipedia. They changed the prefix, but used the last four digits from the song below.

I am not sure I have heard of any of those but #1. A good number are Jen or Jennifer though.

Here is Jennie Lee, a #3 hit in September 1902 by Canadian ballad singer Harry MacDonough. It was written by Arthur Lamb (words) and
Harry Von Tilzer (music). Lamb is best known for writing Asleep In The Deep and A Bird In A Gilded Cage.

I hate to admit that I recognized "Jenny From the Block" by Jennifer Lopez.
