11 out of 40. My sweet spot for 80's seems to be right in the 1984-86 area. Anything before or after that is no bueno.

Bobby McFerrin and Phoebe Snow released a duet version of the Miracles' You've Really Got A Hold On Me in May 1982 and four months later McFerrin released a remake of Van Morrison's Moondance. Neither song charted. His next single, Don't Worry Be Happy, spent two weeks at number one in September 1988 and won three Grammy awards, for song of the year, record of the year and pop vocal performance, male – and it was his onl;y chart hit. McFerrin followed up Don't Worry Be Happy with a remake of the Olympics' 1965 hit Good Lovin'. I think it should have been a hit – but it wasn't. (A version by the Young Rascals went to number one in 1966.)

Good 12
Okay 11
Bad 17

I DON'T WANNA hear either one! (Actually the Elton song is tolerable, but I wouldn't go outta my way for it)

14: PLEASE DON'T GO GIRL - NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
