I've wondered why everyone mentions the Squeeze song with the phone number that I've never heard of, even though they're one of my all-time favorite groups, whom I've seen live 3 times. Now I know why. By '88, I was listening almost exclusively to alternative rock radio, because of the mainstream trend.

INXS was played on the alternative stations I listened to (in the 90s). I think I have heard Pop Goes the World on First Wave (although not 100% sure).
I'm sure I've heard it on First Wave too. It's just that I don't recall hearing it when it came out.

I did not realize he released Candle 3 times. I thought his Princess Di one was his second.
As to the REM song, sometimes I just shake my head. It's a great song.
This weeks surprises.
That's almost a surprise.
It was EVERYWHERE for a couple of weeks.
I thought it would have made it.
We'll have three chances in May. Two with Genesis and one with the Cover Girls. It would be nice to hit a least one.
I caught that too.
She's an example of someone I disliked as an artist, but knew all the songs due to them being overplayed. I did see a live performance of this on song from Top of the Pops. As much as I hate to say it, she killed it.
I ran a search and a few other weeks around this one have popped up.

The song that fell like a rock the mostest is Move Ya Hips by A$AP Ferg, Nicki Minaj & MadeinTYO. It debuted on the August 15 2020 Hot 100 chart at #19 – and the next week fell to #99, a drop of 80 points!
