22 good for 1982.

I remember listening to lots of great music that year. Yet every countdown from 1982 seems to be filled with duds.

And another fun fact: Whiney Houston had 0 #1 songs in 1985.
Looking back at this now. Yeah my order is kinda scrambled for sure!

As for Whitney I thought "How Will I Know" was early 85 and "Saving All My Love" was spring 85....turns out they are early 86 and spring 86. Doh!!

She did have one #1 in 1985 though.... "Sending All My Love" was fall 1985. I can't keep her shit straight. I spent my teen years avoiding her songs!!

(17) 11. CRIMSON AND CLOVER - JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS

Alan said she covered two songs by Tommy James, this and "Mony Mony". I think he's confused.

( 3) 3. I'VE NEVER BEEN TO ME - CHARLENE

My wife despises this song.
She was very clear about this.
Again.

( 1) 1. EBONY AND IVORY - PAUL MCCARTNEY AND STEVIE WONDER *

My (last minute) guess this week. Wasn't sure if it carried from May into June. It actually stays at #1 for all of June.
At least one of the others guessed "Chariots Of Fire" which drops from 12 to 53 this week, owch!

#62 Waitresses "I Know What Boys Like"
#78 Bow Wow Wow "I Want Candy"
#81 Cheap Trick "If You Want My Love"

Better than most of the songs in the top 40

Will never break into the top 40
#44 Shalamar "A Night to Remember"
#48 Bertie Higgins "Just Another Day In Paradise"
#61 Jon Anderson & Vangelis "I'll Find My Way Home"
#62 Waitresses "I Know What Boys Like"
#63 Sparks "I Predict"
#66 Temptations/Rick James "Standing on the Top - Pt. 1"
#67 Frank Barber Orchestra "Hooked On Big Bands"
#69 Greg Kihn Band "Happy Man"
#70 Quarterflash "Right Kind Of Love"
#71 Four Tops "Back To School Again"
#72 Rod Stewart "How Long"
#74 Monroes "What Do All The People Know"
#76 Rick James "Dance Wit' Me - Part 1"
#78 Bow Wow Wow "I Want Candy"

Joan Jett covered Crimson and Clover and 'Hanky Panky' from Tommy James. The latter was later in her career, and, not a hit.
