Target never had snow tires or fishing poles in stock.Target opened its first stores in Canada in 2013, so not that big a deal to shut them down in 2015.
Plus, there's no way they could go up against this.

Thanks for your mad Google-Fu skills and the translation into Canadian.
I can't quite fathom a billion dollars, but 1.6 of em sounds like a lot to me.
It also sounds like Target made a bad choice for their introduction to a new market. Stockholders should not be pleased.
I buy clothes at Target, Nordstrom's, Macy's and H&M. JC Penney does not sell the same clothes. They sell a bunch of out of style, low quality, synthetic blend clothes. It isn't any cheaper than Target or H&M (but it is cheaper than Macy's and Nordstrom's), but it looks cheaper.where do you buy clothes? JC Peny carries the same stuff Macy's and Dillard's does. Armani?
What about back bacon and Molson, eh?Target never had snow tires or fishing poles in stock.
Same day delivery for Prime customers? If so I'm all in.Amazon in Talks to Buy Some of RadioShack's Stores - Bloomberg Business
Well that's an interesting option. I've long thought Amazon should open a grand department store, something like Macy's in its heyday, combining Amazon's selection and prices with the customer experience of analog shopping. Radio Shack stores aren't that, but they give Amazon a place to demonstrate merchandise and for customers to pick up packages they don't want left on the stoop.
I don't see anything about that in the story.Same day delivery for Prime customers? If so I'm all in.

Could work.
Fed-Ex/Kinko's worked. Now people have a place to mail their lingerie at 2:00 am.
