I live in a Kroger town. There are five within two miles of my house, I think. Two of them are less than 1/4 mile apart, and both are always packed.
Looks like a collection of really bad ideas, but the $1,100 walkman is in a class by itself. If I want precise sound, I'll sit in front of my home stereo. Remember those? Or if it's gotta be mobile, I'll spring for a $100 upgrade to my headphones, and pocket the other $1,000.to look at the other side of things, here are 5 products that will make a comeback this year.

It wasn't ground up. They bought them from Zellers in 2011 for 1.8 billion Canadian dollars (which was aboot the same as US dollars in 2011).130 stores is a boatload of startup capital. I've got no real numbers to work with, but wouldn't be surprised if it cost them $30 million or more to build each store if they were all ground up. That could be close to 4 billion dollars. Even if I'm waaaay off, it's a big chunk of cash.
